Tony gets dressed and drives down to the local chemist. He comes back with 3 tests. I go in the bathroom and do them. They take 5 minutes for the results to show up. These ones even tell you how far gone you are.
I go into the bedroom and sit on the bed. Tony wraps his arms around me. I can't say I was expecting this after what I'd been told.
"Tony, go see what they say" I ask him. He gets up off my bed and goes in the bathroom. He's white as a sheet as he comes back.
"Um, Amie. They all read positive. And apparently you are 5 months gone."
I look at him in shock. It must have happened within weeks of me getting here. I look at my belly. Not a hint of a bump.
I grab one of the tests and look at in shock. It definitely says positive. Oh crap. I look up at him. He doesn't seem angry. That's a start.
"I'm so sorry" I whisper.
"I'm gonna be a dad" he says. Then smiles that beautiful smile of his.
"You'll have to marry me then" he laughs.
"Was that a proposal?" I say, shocked. Today is full of surprises.
"Yerp" he laughs.
He makes me get dressed so we can go and buy a ring. And tell our families. And the guys. Oh.
