A/N: This shit storm is back. I think this story is gonna be the one that I spontaneously update bc laziness. Also, I'm all kinds of ship trash, so you have to suffer through whatever trash i'm feeling more of during said day. Today I was feeling more Scomiche, so I guess y'all win this round.

"Hey, Kirstie!"

Kirstie rolled her eyes at the sound of Andrew's voice. She closed her locker and started walking away. It was far too early, and she had 0 patience to deal with his antics.

"I know who egged our house," he blurted out, making the young girl come to a halt and turn toward him.

She cocked her head to the side, "Who?"

He crossed his arms. "It was your weird fag friends," he declared, watching to see if she'd falter.

"What makes you think that?" she challenged.

"They were sitting behind us when I was on the phone with Jessica," he pointed out.

Kirstie rolled her eyes again before turning and heading toward her homeroom.

"I'm telling my mom," he assured her, making her laugh to herself at how childish he sounded.

Nonetheless, once she made it into homeroom, she rushed over to Mitch's desk. "Andrew is pretty sure that you and Scott were the culprits," she informed him in a hushed tone.

She was taken aback when Mitch shrugged carelessly.

"Oh well. I was probably gonna tell Mrs. Fischer today anyway. The sooner I get through that punishment, the sooner I won't have to worry about Scott's stupid antics getting me in trouble anymore," he replied blandly.

Kirstie furrowed her eyebrows. "I thought you two were like...attached at the hip."

Another shrug. "I'm surgically removing myself."

"Ew..." Kirstie muttered at the mental image. "Well uh...I'm sorry about that," she stated awkwardly.

"Don't worry about it," Mitch stated in a bored tone. He narrowed his eyes as she slid into the desk in front of him, even though it wasn't her assigned seat.

"What happened?" she inquired curiously.

He rolled his eyes. "Basically, over the summer, Scott and Avi were 'high school sweethearts'. Then at the end of the summer, Avi dumped him and told him that he didn't want anyone in school to know he liked boys. Anyway, Scott was heartbroken, but eventually moved on. And now the dumbass is crawling right into Avi's arms again, completely ignoring the fact that—" he cut himself off, before he could get too heated.

Kirstie looked at him sadly. "That his best friend has a crush on him...?"

Another eye roll. "Oh honey, he surpassed crush a long time ago. So, it makes it all the more fun to see someone break his heart again," he quipped sarcastically before shaking his head. "Whatever, it's stupid. He's stupid."

The young girl looked up when the bell rang. "I'm sure everything will work out. I think everyone in the whole knows that the two of you are a package deal. Y'all won't last long as individuals," she assured him as she stood up and headed over to her desk.

Mitch sighed softly and glanced down at his phone as Scott texted him for the umpteenth time. He shook his head and deleted the text again before focusing on class.

...

"Still nothing?" Avi questioned, pulling his t-shirt over his head.

Scott sighed and shook his head as he closed his gym locker. "It's not even like we're...dating again. We're just friends," he pointed out, looking at Avi.
