"What's your last name?"

"When I tell you this, you ha to promise not to freak out or anything OK?"

Dipper nodded. Mabel mumbled yes until her brother nudged her, then I had her focus as she nodded yes.

"My last name is.......Cipher"

I was looking down the whole time so I didn't know what their faces looked like. All I felt then was a slap.

"Ow, which one of you did that?!?!!"

I look up and see Dipper with his fist balled and tears in his eyes. Mabel is holding his shoulders.

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DAD DID TO THIS TOWN? DO YOU KNOW-"

"You think I don't know what my dad did to everyone? He was always saying how he would come and start Weirdmaggedon back up. Dipper, do you think I don't try to go against my dad. But guess what if I did, I don't know what he would do, but I know it'd be dire."

"Bethany,Dipper didn-"

"I know what you're gonna say, he didn't mean it.Yes he did. This is why I didn't want to come to school. My number one fear is people hating or not accepting me for being Bill Ciphers daughter or for being half demon-half human. But I didn't know why you guys would ever understand or accept me."

I look down and I realized that I have a read aurora, something my dad has when he's mad. Well that's one thing we have in common.

I turned, embarrassed to say anything to them. I hear a slap and footsteps, I start to walk away when I feel a hand touching mine.

"Bethany I'm so sorry for what Dipper did."

"Its fine at least he didn't punch me. You know I don't mean to hurt anyone right? You know I don't want to be like my dad?"

"Well, unlike Dippin Dots, I see the good in everyone. And just because your dad is the Bill Cipher, doesn't mean that you have to be evil like him, or hurt people like he did."

I smile. This is the first time someone has had hope in me. We agree that we should meet again at the Mystery Shack. I tell her that we shouldn't hang out at my house because my dad would probably hurt her.

I'm happy I talked to Mabel. She is the only one who has every had at least a little bit a hope in me. The only hope my dad has for me is for to become like him. Mabel helped me see I don't need to be like him.
