Night

After Ford came in and "bid us farewell into a land od dreams", I couldn't fall asleep.

"Dipper you awake? Mabel?"Silence

I floated to the roof this time. I felt like I had more power after defeating my dad.

 I sat on the roof, looking at the moon wondering if I could go to the moon. I started to sing my mom's song:

Let's explore a place we don't know

We can see what's out there, I know its waiting.

Come let's explore this wonder.

We'll find what's down deep under.

I'll be by your side the whole time.

"Hey. Can't sleep?" Dipper came onto to the roof..again

"Yeah, usually the stars help. I couldn't see them from your room."

"You could have asked us to make adjustments to our room."

"Nah, its OK."

"You know I like you right Beth, like a lot? Can I call you that Beth or can only Mabel call you that?"

"No its fine! But I know you like me." I found myself scooting closer to him.

"Did your dad ever talk about this town?"

"Yeah. He talked about how he was gonna start Weirdmaggedon back up. But never did."

"I'm glad he left and didn't take you."

'"Oh yeah?" I said, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Yeah."

I smiled thinking of my future with the Pines.

"You getting tired?" Dipper asked looking me in the eyes.

"Yeah let's go back inside." I started to walk towards the edge of the roof.

"Beth, where are you going?"

"To your room."

"The ladder is over there. In the opposite direction."

I walked over to him and pushed down his hat lightly, "Why use ladders when I could float us to your window?"

"OK, valid point."

"Here, take my hand." He grabbed my hand, and squeezed. I considered that a sign of trust..

We floated around the house once then eventually into his room. We landed right next to Mabel's bed, trying to be quiet. I laid down in my sleping bag

"Beth can you sing that song again? The one your mom sang? Your voice is...beautiful." I blushed when he said that 

"OK"

"Thank You"

This time I sang it slower, so it could help him sleep:

"Did she write that song?"

"I don't actually know. All I remember was her sweet voice dining this song. It took me some years to get the words together."

"Wow. Seems hard. Goodnight. I... I lov-nevermind." 

"Goodnight Dipper."

I guess this was gonna be my life for now one. At least if this was my life, it was a happy one. The Pines were the best thing to ever happen to me. And I hoped I was the same for them
