A Cipher's Daughter

School

After my little incident with dad, I walked to school. I saw kids walking on the other side of the street staring at me like I had 3 heads. I knew, even if I haven't been in the school yet, I was gonna be an outcast. 

I knew when I got to the school I had to go to t office, but I didn't know where that was. So I decided to ask a guy with a Pine Trees. I stopped myself, I realized that's who my dad was talking about. Pine Tree and Shorting Star.

Dipper's POV

I turned around because I had the feeling someone was looking at me. I turn around to see a girl with a yellow shirt, mini top-hat, and a bowtie. The same girl I saw in my dream. She look surprised. I bet I looked as surprised as she did.

"Mabel, its the girl!"

"I see that Dipper!"

I realized they were whispering, so I decided to say something.

"Hi, I'm Bethany. I'm looking for the office."

"Hi I'm Dipper and this is my sister Mabel. The office is straight, turn right,left,left,straight." 

"Thank you, I hope we can talk again in the future, I like your hat by the way!"

I walked away quirky regretting what I did. 

Dipper's POV

I looked at Mabel, wondering what had just happened.

"Mabel,did you see that? Bethany looked just like the girl in my dream!"

"Mmhm"

"Mabel, are you listening to me?"

"Sure, Dipper whatever you say."

Mabel was staring at this guy, he was wearing a yellow tux, bow tie, he had a cane (but he looked like he didn't really need it), and blonde hair. He looked similar to....

No he couldn't be 

"Mabel, that guy you are looking at, who do you think he looks like?"

Mabel was now listening to me, she started analyzing the strange man, looked at me and said one word:

"Bill."

"What is he doing here?"

"He's watching us!"

"Well come on, class is about to start, and I don't think he can follow us into the school. You have to be a parent to get in.

I walked into the office to see a tall pretty lady sitting behind a desk. "Good morning!" I said reading the name tag in the desk "Ms.Cromwell!"

"You must be Bethany. Am I right?"

"Yes. I was told to come here for my schedule."

"Yes your schedule is right here. And I'm go into call two students,who I think you will like, to give you a tour. Sound good?"

I nodded. "Mason and Mabel Pines please report to the front office." Pines. My dad told me to stay away. But I also told him, that I would be friends with the twins. 

"Why do they have to use my real name?"

"Why do your think we are getting called to the office?

" They probably found Stan's criminal record!" 

"Dipper! I'm being serious" Mabel laughs as she playfully shoves her brother.

"I don't know. The school year just started it could be anything."

I see the Twins through the walls of the office. Thea re gonna hate me. My dad cost their family a lot. Their Grunkle lost his memory, the Shack was semi-ruined. Their whole town was traumatized, because of my dad. And I didn't want that to be my future. If they found put my last name, then they would know Bill is my dad. 

"Hey, its you from earlier at the doors!" Mabel observed

"Yes, my name is Bethany, I assume you are Mabel."

"Yeah, and this is my brother Dipper, they just use his real name for school."

"Bethany what is your last name" Dipper asked out of the blue

I wasn't prepared for him to ask that question. I didn't expect it. If I told them, they'd hate. If I didn't, it'd seem suspicious. 

"I.I.. My last name? Why do you wanna know my last name??"

"You look very familiar, to us. Like an old enemy.. I mean friend." It seems like Dipper is trying interrogate me.

"Can we go outside near the picnic tables for this?"

"Sure" the Twins said in unison. I almost forgot Mabel was here. Dipper examined me up and down all the way outside, while Mabel was skipping all over the place.

"Now, Bethany..." Dipper asked like he was playing good cop/bad cop with Mabel. And in this case dipper was going to be bad cop his whole life.
