As I ran for Steve I was just think 'no no no not Patricia, sweet Patricia' and other stuff like that. I was so worried about her that as soon as I found Steve I grabbed him and told him two words "it's Patricia." We were off again. But we were about to enter the room when I stopped him.

"Steve, I can't let you go in there." I told him calmly stepping in front of him, "Patricia, please tell him."

"My sweet," her voice crackled and saw the pain in his eyes. "Our dear pack can't have you sick too. Please find a way to heal us, please my l..." She was so weak she couldn't finish but it got Steve moving.

"Nata come with me. Alison will be here soon." He commanded her in a voice that left no room for refusal. They quickly left. I walked over to Serafina.

"Serafina, you need some sleep. You look unceasingly more tired by the second. Go to my room and sleep. I know you'd rather go to the one guy's than mine but no one has been in it except Peter and me." She was so tired it look as if she was going to pass out right there but it amazed me that she said okay and got up and shuffled out the door.

I sat down next to Patricia. She smiled up at me, "I wish I were as young as you guys...you grow up so fast." She seemed lost in thought.

"It's funny you would say that...because born vampires can stay whatever age that want but normally one will wait until their 18 or 21 or something like that. Bishop and I haven't froze our age yet." I confessed to her.

"That's good." Then she dozed off. I got up and stepped outside and my brother stopped me.

"Whats the one girl's name?"

"Serafina?"

"Yeah... I kinda like her. She's feisty." He chuckled then his smile dropped, "Do you think she'll get sick too?"

He sounded so worried, it surprised me. "I don't know...I hope not, she's a good person or werewolf or whatever you want to call her."

"Yeah she is." He smiled then I walked away. I've been away from my mate too long for comfort. I soon found him and I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around him. I was so happy he wasn't sick too.

"Hey beautiful," Peter smiled at me. Even though he wasn't very happy he still tried. "You want to see if we can help my dad?"

"Of course."

Peter lead me to a huge room, a study. His dad was at one table surrounded by huge books and the same for Nata and some other person I've never met. We got put to work helping with this and that for hours. Then that dreaded coughing reached me ears. I turned as quick as I could, as soon as I saw who it was, my fears were true...it was Peter. I ran to his side forgetting about the huge books. I grabbed him up in my arms and had him in his own room where he quickly passed out. I ran back to the study to hear, "I think I found it."

It was Nata who was bent over an old book showing the other two.

"I remember this legend when I was little," Nata began. "This pack of royal werewolves were attacked by a ruthless foe...it slowly infected each and everyone of them. Then it would slowly start to kill them and they lived but they had the exact same symptoms as your pack. But the book doesn't tell what the cure is." Nata was leafing though the pages.

I glared at Nata. We were so close and now we're just where we were before. Peter could die, it would kill me. I wouldn't allow it to ever happen...ever! I'd do everything I'm my power to stop this...thing....
