Ariana's screaming had woken me up. I had only been half awake, figuring that she had only had a nightmare or something like that. Of course, then we all saw who she had bitten, and well, then I couldn't have been more awake if I had downed a gallon of black coffee. When Peter spoke up, I got confused. That was not Peter on the floor, Peter was standing by Ariana.

Steve and Patricia raced in, she fainted, then they told us that Peter had had a twin. I had instantly looked at Mark and Ryan; even though they had only been two when Peter was born I was hoping that they would be able to say something about the truth of our pack leaders' story. Yes, I know that it was stupid to instantly doubt Steve and Patricia but honestly, they had never told us anything about that before. And looking at Cole, well, we had to believe them.

Then Ariana slammed Cole up against a wall and yelled at him for a few seconds. Then he said something, and then, well, I only got a glimpse at Bishop's face but he looked seriously mad and he was glaring at Cole. All of a sudden Cole started choking. Patricia rushed to his side as Ariana stepped back, looking surprised.

"Can we ever go one night without any excitement?" Jaydon wondered aloud, earning himself a stern glare from Steve even though it made the rest of us smile a little. I swear that we didn't have this much trouble before the vampire twins came here. As I thought that my eyes met Bishop's for a split second. I looked away quickly. It doesn't matter that they brought trouble with them, I think that the twins make up for the trouble all by themselves.

"Someone help me get him to a bed," Patricia requested from where she was still kneeling by her- oh Lord- third son. Peter instantly moved to help his mother, pausing for a moment to stare down into the face that was like a slightly tarnished reflection of his own. Steve also went to help his mate. Peter grabbed Cole's feet and Steve lifted him by the shoulders, carrying him over to the nearest bed and setting him gently upon it.

"What do you want to do, 'Tish?" Steve asked softly, pulling his mate into his arms. "We can try to care for him ourselves or we can call Nata or Alison."

She lifted her head from his chest slowly. "Let's try and take care of him ourselves for now, until we figure out what is going on, and what happened." He nodded, and then turned to us. "You are forbidden to speak of this with anyone else until I say otherwise. Understood?" We all muttered our agreement. "Good. Now Peter, help me carry him to my and your mother's room. Mark, Ryan, bring a cot." The boys nodded and then the group of them swept out of the room, leaving Sam, Lanie, Jay, Jen, the vampires and me. We looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
