troy, mike and eleven all stared up at the clock. it seemed as if they were in the office for hours until the school principal finally walked in.

"sorry for the wait." he said as he sat down in his chair in front of the kids. "does someone want to explain what happened?"

mike and troy immediately started telling their side of the story at the exact same time.

"HE WAS MEAN TO EL."

"MIKE JUST ATTACKED ME!"

"I TOLD HIM TO STOP!"

eleven just stared at the two boys yelling at each other.

"STOP." the principal put his head in his hands. mike and troy stopped arguing and looked at the principal.

"you." he pointed to eleven. she felt her heart starting to race. "you can tell your story first."

el froze and looked at mike. he gestured for her to talk.

"not mike's fault." she said.

"why wasn't it mike's fault?" the principal asked.

"troy was being mean. mike was nice." she said.

"she's lying!" troy glared at her. "this weirdo has powers and hurt me!"

eleven quickly covered her arm, which was partially coloured red from her nosebleed.

"she has... powers?" the principal took a sip of his coffee.

"yeah! she made me hit a tree and pee my pants and she cheated during the game!" troy smirked.

the principal rolled his eyes. "look, i don't want anymore monkey business going on during school, understand? you all have a detention after school today, and a suspension tomorrow. if you get into another fight, i won't be as nice to you. now, go back to class."

"monkey business?" asked el.

"it's when someone does something stupid." troy told her. "like your parents making you." he laughed at his own terrible joke

"you are dismissed."

the trio nodded and walked back into the gym. the game had continued, so they went back to their original teams and continued the game.

"mike, what's detention?" el asked mike.

"you have to stay after school for like, 10 minutes." he asked.

eleven gulped. "but dan will be waiting..."

"the school will probably let him know you have a detention. don't worry about it." he smiled.

but el did worry. she couldn't help it.

at the end of gym class, they finished changing and headed out to lunch. mike has packed some eggos for eleven, because they weren't allowed in dan's house. they ended up eating outside, as the weather was pretty nice.

"hey guys!" will came out of the school and sat beside them.

"hi, will!" eleven smiled as she shoved another eggo in her mouth.
