She just stood there, frozen in shock. I started stammering, "I-I don't have- There's other, um, places and-" Alya stepped up and clapped her hands. " So it's settled then! You know, Nino and I could probably come over too and we could hangout." She gestured behind her to where Nino was standing behind her. "Sure, I'm in," He looked down at his phone and turned it off. "Gotta go. Duty calls." He half-walked, half-jogged down the steps and out of the school building. Apparently, he was okay with skipping school, even when class wasn't being taught. Alya rolled her eyes once he was gone. " 'Duty' being this foreign princess visiting his family for business stuff. He's head over heels for her, but she's really just a rich snob." Marinette chuckled. "Jealous much?" Alya's eyes went from 0 to 100 real quick. "Girl, first of all-"
And soon all of us were laughing off the embarrassment and awkwardness of before, just being friends.

The bell jingled as Marinette walked into her Family's Patisserie, Me behind her, the air filled with such a delicious smell that I was struggling to keep my mouth from watering. Man, If I had a choice, I would live here. Honestly? The only thing stopping me now was the fact that it'd be weird to her family, having a strange boy staying at their house all the time. Well, at least I get to live here for a little while. Wait- we never talked about that; how long am I staying here? My thoughts were interrupted when her parents, who had introduced themselves as Tom and Sabine, not Mr. Dupain and Mrs.Cheng (They insisted that I didn't call them that), started showing me around. "This is where we do all of the baking for the shop. We load the trays and get things ready here, and put them out front," Tom pointed at sections of the kitchen. We left that area and made our way to the living room, which had a couch I would sleep on. "Have a croissant, Dear." Sabine held out a handpainted plate with the croissant, plus some macaroons and cookies. She gave one to Marinette, too, and we sat down on the couch and ate after I thanked Sabine. They crept away towards the kitchen, leaving us by ourselves. Marinette grabbed a napkin from the coffee table and wiped the corners of her mouth while I swallowed the last of the amazing croissant I had just eaten. "So, how long am I staying?" I asked. She seemed a bit more comfortable now, after earlier. "Um, you can stay however long you'd like- what are you, uh, planning to do now that everyone else from your house is gone?" I hadn't thought about that too much yet, so I shrugged. "I probably keep going to school, and maybe find an apartment or something. I haven't thought abou-"
Just then, Tom came rushing into the room, phone by his ear. "For the week? Or are you staying longer? {pause } Yes, we can. Sure, see you soon."
"Marinette, Uncle Cheng-Si Fu's plane crashed. He's alright, but he will have to stay here while he recovers until he can start traveling again- that means Adrien will have to sleep up in your room, if that's ok."
