Millie's pov

2 weeks have passed since my moms car accident. Nothing has happened, she's still not awake. I've been at Sadie's most of the time, and I didn't go to school for a couple days, but other than that, everything has been boring. Finn had to go visit his family in West Virginia, so he hasn't been here for the past 2 weeks, and I miss him. He's getting back at the end of this week, which is in 1 day, since today is Thursday. I'm sitting down in Spanish, and Finn isn't there, still. I've been sending him all the homework that we've been having to do, and that's really the only reason we text, because he's so busy. The bell finally rings, and I go to lunch. Everyone else is already sitting down, and Caleb and Sadie made up, so I'm guessing they are back together now. I sit down and everyone looks at me.

"What?" I said, emotionless.

"Nothing, it's just weird seeing you without your lover boy, Finn. It's been 2 weeks,
almost 3. Don't you miss him?" Gaten said, and they all smirked at me.

"We don't like each other guys. We've only kissed once, and we never talked about it." I said, lying.

"You guys say you don't like each other, but in reality, you guys do like each other, but you just don't want to admit it." Noah said. I just rolled my eyes and read my book.

"Hey Millie, what are you doing in the hallways?" Romeo asked me. He's been bugging me ever since Finn left, because he knows I don't have anyone else to protect me.

"Putting my books away, like I do every day." I say, and I slam my locker, and I start to walk away, but he grabs my arm and pulls me toward him. He's holding onto my arm really hard, and our faces are a few inches away. Him and Finn are basically the same height.

"Let go of me." I say, snapping at him.

"Oh, how I love a feisty Millie Bobby Brown." He said smirking at me. I gave him a mean stare. He leaned in and kissed me. I couldn't react in time before he stuck his tongue into my mouth. I couldn't pull away, because I was up against the lockers. If I tried to move away from him, he would squeeze my arm even harder. I had enough when he started to move his hand down farther from my waist, and I used my free hand to put it on his chest and push him as far away from me as a could, and as I did that, he let go of my arm.

"See, kissing me isn't even that bad." He said, smirking at me.

"Go to hell." I said, walking back to my study hall.

"I'm sorry, we don't have any new information for you." The doctor said, and I nodded. I got back in my car and went to Sadie's, and jumped onto her bed, and groaned. She was sitting at her desk, on her phone.

"What's wrong?" Sadie asked.

"My life is wrong. Everything is just so bad right now, and I can't do anything about it." I told her.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I say we have a sleepover, just the girls, on Friday. Maybe that will brighten your mood." Sadie said.

"Finn is coming back on Friday." I said, and she looked at me.

"Okay, if you wanna hang out with your lover boy, we can reschedule." She said, smirking.

"I don't like him, and no, we can have it Friday." I said, and she nodded.

"And that how you plug an equation into another equation to find the point on the graph, that the 2 equations intersect at. Does everyone understand?" My math teacher asked us. We all nodded, but I bet half the class had no idea what she just said. The bell rang, and I went to Spanish. Same old boringness, new Spanish, then lunch came. I sat down, excited to see my friends today. I was in a good mood today, Finn is coming back today. I guess everyone noticed.

"Why are you in such a good mood?" They asked me.

"Friday," I said, smiling. They nodded, and continued to eat and talk. Romeo didn't bother me today, which was nice.

"Hey!!" Grace and Maddie said as they walked into Sadie's house for her sleepover. We all went into Sadie's room and talked, and they wanted to make slime, so we did that. We were in the kitchen, playing with it, when I got a call on my phone. It was Finn. Everyone saw that it was Finn, and they raised their eyebrows at me. I picked up my phone and put it to my ear, looking at the girls, who were looking at me.

"Hey Millie." Finn said.

"Hey Finn, are you back yet?" I ask.

"Well, that's the thing. I think we are staying....for a few months." He said. My smile on my face dropped.

"What??" I said, which made the girls smiles drop.

"Yeah. My aunt just had a baby, and she had to get a C- section, so my mom will have to take care of her, and the baby, as my aunt is recovering. So they are having me go to a school here, for a few months." He said, sounding sad.

"Oh my gosh. This sucks." I said.

"Yeah. So I'm not exactly sure when I'm coming back, but I'm for sure coming back." He said, trying to make light of the situation.

"Yeah, I guess." I said.

"How's life without me there?" He said.

"Funny. It's really boring, my mom still hasn't woken up. I'm at Sadie's right now with Maddie and Grace too." I said.

"Oh, well I don't wanna interrupt you guys. I guess I can text you later?" He said, letting me go.

"Yeah, Okay. Goodnight." I said.

"Goodnight, Millie." Finn said, before we ended it. I looked at them.

"What's wrong?" Sadie asked.

"Finn has to stay there for a couple months because his aunt had a c section for her baby, and my mom has to take care of the baby while she recovers, and it will take a while. So he's going to a different school for a while, not sure when he's gonna be back." I said.

"Oh, that sucks." Sadie said. I nodded, and then we just went on with more conversation and slime making. That brought down my mood a lot.

These next few months may be the death of me.
