Millie's pov

It was Monday, and I woke up and looked in the mirror. My face is starting to turn a dark purplish color from the punch, and it's starting to swell a little bit. There was no way I could cover it up with makeup, so I told my mom and Paige that Sadie accidentally elbowed me when she was reaching back for something, and of course they believed me. I put on a black skirt and a white banana strap tank top with a grey cardigan, and left my shoulder length hair down.

I was walking to my locker and I put in the combination. I opened it and started to grab the things that I need and put them in my bag. I shut my locker and I saw Romeo leaning against the locker next to mine. I jumped, and he laughed.

"Have you changed your mind about going out with me yet??" He asked with a smirk on is face.

"Does it look like I want to say yes??" I ask, and he looks at my eye, which is all bruised.

"Sorry about your face..I just got mad." He said, and he put his hand on my face and traced his thumb over the bruise. I flinched, and then I saw someone grab his hand and shove it back to him. It was Finn, I could tell by his curly hair. I stood behind him and looked to the side of him to see Romeo looking at Finn with an angry face.

"Leave her alone." Finn said, I couldn't see his face, but I could tell he was mad.

"Are you her boyfriend now?? Millie, you could do so much better than Finn Wolfhard." He said with a smirk on his face, and I saw Finn was about to lift up his arm to punch Romeo, so I grabbed it quickly and held it in place.

"No, he's not my boyfriend, but I know that I can do so much better than you." I said, coming from behind Finn and standing next to him.

"Fuck you." He said, and walked past us and hit my shoulder as he passed. I realized I was still holding Finns arm and let go.

"Thank you." I said to Finn, looking up to him. I'm like 7 inches shorter than him, so I always look up to him. I'm one of the shortest in my grade.

"No problem. Did you put ice on your eye over the weekend??" He said, sounding concerned. We were walking to language together, because we have it together, and he's in my group too.

"Yeah. I don't think it helped though." I said, as we kept walking down the hallway.

"It helped, it would of been way more swollen." He said, his eyes focused on the ground. Nobody else was in the hallway, because the bell already rang. We were late by a minute. When we got into class, everyone looked at us. Mostly me, because of the huge bruise I had on my face.

"Nice of you two to show up. Sit down." The teacher told us, not happy with us. We went to our group and sat down. She gave us worksheets to do with our group, and as we did them, I can feel everyone's stare on me.

"You guys can stop staring at her, yeah she has a bruise on her face, get over it." Finn said loudly so the whole class can hear it. They all just started to work with their groups again, and I have a thank you look to Finn. The rest of the day just went by slow.

"So we can all just meet up at my house?" Finn said, as we were all walking out of school. Everyone agreed, and I drove home. Fall was coming, so it was getting colder. I changed into leggings and a light blue nike sweatshirt. I put on fuzzy socks and my Uggs. After a few minutes I left and drive to Finns house, and everyone's car was there, so I'm assuming everyone was here. I walk up to his door, the wind hitting my face. I knocked on the door, and Finn opened it. He welcomed me in and one foot was inside, but my other one hit the step and I tripped, and Finn caught me by my waist, and I held onto his hands. We locked eyes for a second before we heard everyone else.
