AVO || Marry me

     In the end, I wore the red shorts Sam gave me. He wouldn't let me get pass through him unless I wore it. It didn't stop me from having a good time, though. Right after I put on the shorts, I immediately ran towards the water like a kid. Nobody cared anyway. They were busy looking at their phones or eating the steak they made while laughing together. In short, we were living our own different worlds.

I closed my eyes as I feel the air blowing my hair as I slowly moved my hands on the cold water. This is what I want. I opened my eyes and I dive underneath. There were different colors of fish below. Some would swim close to me while some would change direction. I enjoyed every bit of it except for the fact that it was getting deeper and deeper and I have a slight phobia of being far from the shore. And I was also scared of sharks. It started when Sam and I watched Jaws and Deep Blue Sea. After watching those, my heartbeat would increase every time I think about sharks. Especially when I'm in the bathroom.

Sam assured me that there were no sharks here earlier but still, possibilities are increasing. He held my hand as we walked through the brilliant water. I dipped my other hand as I looked at the horizon in front of us. There were 3 islands close together while the sun was shining brightly above them. I felt the heat on my face.

"Are you having fun?" Sam was looking at me intently and I couldn't help but blush as I nod at him.

His hair was slicked back and there were droplets of water falling from his hair to the sides of his face. His lips were red from when he licked it earlier as he rose up from the surface of the water. The water when hit by the sun glistened on his tanned skin and I could feel the other girls around us gawking at him.

"You're attracting almost all the girls in this beach." I mumbled as I sank lower until the water reached my chin. He raised a brow and I averted his eyes with a frown.

"You're attracting me."

I sank even lower as I tried to hide the blood rushing to my cheeks. He chuckled and tried to pull me towards him. I pulled my hand away from his grip and I planted my feet on the sand. In the end, he swam closer to me instead when he saw that I wouldn't budge from my spot. I tried to get away but it was too late. He was already close to me and to prevent me from escaping, he wrapped his arms around my waist. I could feel the heat radiating from his hands against my back.

"Sam! This is a public place!" I hissed as I put my hands on his chest in attempt to push him away.

"They don't care, Liz," he whispered back as he leaned closer to me, "They have their own world. And we have ours."

I didn't have the chance to utter a single word when I felt his lips against mine. It was soft and salty from the water but it was still one of the sweetest kiss we shared. It felt like everything around us went quiet and I started getting anxious but when I felt his lips moved, I couldn't help but match his pace. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.

When we broke apart, it felt like we were kissing for an hour. We were both panting and I couldn't help but chuckle at our state. He gave a sexy smirk as he reached and held my hot lips.

"That wasn't so bad. I told you nobody would notice."

I glanced sideways and saw the four girls I saw earlier who kept gawking at Sam. They all had embarrassed looks and when I made eye-contact with one of them, she quickly looked away and the four of them left.

I bit my lip to hide the smile, "Yeah."

We spent half the day there. There were others who were leaving but there were also others who only arrived. When someone leaves, someone arrives. The beach never lost a crowd. Sometimes, it was more crowded than before and the noise multiplied.
