This is a poem I made for my father. Well, he is very insecure about his personality and very emotional. Sometimes, I think that I got my emotional attitude through him. I wrote this for me to show him that I do love him even though, I'm growing older. :)
"The Man Behind Me"
When I was born, you wanted to hold me longer
To raise me up a little bit higher
Your face was filled with joy
When you had your second boy
You tried to make me happy
To treat as my daddy
Holding me like a puppy
Officially you're new buddy
You thought me how to bike
To sing and hold the mike
To control the handmade kite
Kissing my painful insect bite
When I was growing up, you thought I changed
Pointed my bad attitudes that you don't wanted
Disrespecting you, treating you this way
Asking yourself, "Why should I pay?"
It's painful to see us grow
Accepting the hurtful blow
You wanted to go back in time
Where everything is use to be fine
I wanted you to know
That you still make my heart glow
remember that I'm still your little boy
And I will never say to you "Ahoy!"
