Chapter 9 - The Docs and Their Plans

(Phana's POV)

That little guy is definitely my type, he has a pretty face and pink lips. I have never been into boys before but there is something different about him, and I am going to find out what it is. Girls are boring, they fall for me easily because of my looks. That boy didn't seem that impressed by my handsome face, instead he looked like he really wanted to punch me.

I mean, a godly handsome face like this and he wants to punch it? He is interesting.

Wayo, huh? Just you wait. I have to pay him back for playing hard to get. Let's see... how should I punish that pretty boy...

"Ai'Pha!"

"What is it, Ai'Kit?"

I was lost in my thoughts after Yo left us. Now, this grumpy friend of mine snapped me out of it.

"You have been ignoring us lately. Don't you know that Pring and Park are not good people? I don't know why you keep hanging out with them."

"Have you forgotten that they are my cousins?"

"Being cousins doesn't mean you can't keep yourself away from them. There has been rumor about them."

"Rumor about what?"

"About them having dark magic and planning to do something bad. You know how bad they treat other people."

"This nonsense again? We don't even know our element because we were born here in neutral lands. If you are saying they are dark magic users, it's the same thing as you are accusing me as well." I say to Kit.

"Well, I am not accusing you as a dark magic user. I know that you are a witch, Ai'Pha."

"Enough guys. How about going to a nearby bar? There might be some girls there." This one is Beam.

"Ai'Beam! You want us to get killed? Professor Auntie's class is going to start soon."

"Shit! She is already walking to the classroom. Guys, run!"

The three of us run to the classroom after we see her walking towards the classroom. That Professor Auntie is the scariest person ever. She will use her magic to punish us if we don't follow her rules. One of the rules, is not to be late in her class. I am relieved that we are able to make it on time. We get into the classroom together with her. She gives us a death glare but then we run to our seats right away, wiping our sweat and try to catch our breath.

I can't concentrate in the class at all. I keep thinking about that boy I met earlier. How come a boy is that pretty? He is even prettier than girls. The glasses are supposed to be a magic item that conceal someone's attractiveness, but I don't think the they work. Is he a non-magi, then? That explains why he was walking on foot. I remember his face clearly in my head and I can't stop remembering his face. Damn.

Playing around with him is going be fun.

(Kit's POV)

I really want to burn his face with my magic. He is not looking at the whiteboard and keeps chuckling without reason. I know what he is thinking about. This guy is just too much, he got it bad for pretty face. First, he made girls from our faculty wrapped around his fingers then he started flirting the freshman girls he met. Now he is after a boy? I can't deny that the boy is beautiful but damn, this stupid Pha really needs to stop.

I know what he is going to do to that boy. He is definitely going to toy around with him. Does he have siblings or friends? I need to tell them to beware this guy.

Beam, Pha, and I are close friends. But no matter how close we are, I can't let him play around with people. I like pretty girls too, but I don't play around with their feelings. Neither does Pha but he always gives hopes to those girls, never shooing them off when they get clingy to him.

Wait a second. Freshmen students are going to tour around the university and he will eventually come to our faculty, right? That boy is out of luck. Moreover, if he somehow has interest in Wizards Rumble, he will never get away from Pha.

Pha is the winner from last year. Amazing, isn't it? He never used elemental magic when fighting but he won the tournament easily. There is a camp before the tournament where the winners from last year will teach the new participants about the rules, the procedures, and even how to fight using magic.

I believe that Phana has awakened his elemental powers, because his mana is really strong. But, he never shows what element he has. I am nosy but he seems like he doesn't want to tell, so I will wait for him to tell us about it. We are his friends after all, he needs to tell us sooner or later.

But if that boy is a non-magi, I don't think he will join the tournament. He will need to become a witch if he wants to enter the tournament. I don't see him holding a magic wand earlier, meaning he is not going to use magic before he awakens his elemental powers. I really wish that Pha won't do his thing and makes that boy enter the Wizards Rumble. I don't know how he does it, but he really has the ability to make people abide by his wish. If he comes to the principal and recommends that boy, I believe that Wayo will have no choice but to enter the tournament.

(Beam's POV)

I take a look at these two stupid friends of mine. They don't focus on the class at all, so why should I? There is something even more fun than Professor Auntie's class.

I need to win against Pha. This morning, he has made a lot of girls fall for him. I was interested in a girl named Gukgai, a freshman student from faculty of arts who were passing by the medicine faculty. I tried to hit on her but she fell for Pha instead. That is not cool.

Then, he chose to flirt with another freshman student from the faculty of arts, but a boy? He wasted that Gukgai. He should have given her to me, but it's too late. I lost interest in her now.

I have never seen Pha this interested in someone to the point he asks for their name. Usually, people will go like 'Hi, I am blah blah blah, what is your name, P'? Are you single?'. But now it's Pha who asks for the name. This is interesting. If he falls for a boy now, I can take the girls for myself haha.

I take a good look at my two friends one more time. Phana is in his dream land with all his perverted thoughts, and Kit is in his burning anger to smack Phana and snap him out of it.

Sigh... they are no fun. I guess I'll ask Forth to drink with me. He loves to drink as well and he knows how to have fun, unlike these two stupid friends of mine.

(Phana's POV)

The class is finally over. I believe that students from faculty of arts will have a tour around our faculty in two hours. Let's see... what should I do to that boy? No one ever tries to get away from me before, I need to teach him a lesson for playing hard-to-get.

Oh. Right.

He will never be able to get away from me if he is a participant of this year's Wizards Rumble. I guess I will have a talk with the principal later on this afternoon. I am the winner from last year's tournament. If I recommend that boy to the principal, he will definitely agree with my idea.

We will meet often, nong Yo.
