Cyber and I had been hanging out quite a bit lately, and I have hit such a high spot in my life because of her! She is everything that I wished for, and everything that I needed to get me out of my emotional low that I was stuck in. So obviously when I was asked the question ''what are you most thankful for'' I had to respond with her. Speaking of that, it is thanksgiving season, and I am headed to Nebraska to hang out with my brother and parents. My mom lives about 8 hours away, and my dad is another hour down the road. Since the accident totaled my car, I got with insurance and was allowed a vehicle of my choice, as long as it is similar in price to my previous ride. Or I could choose something a bit more expensive, but I'd have to pay more to be covered. I have a fairly solid pay check, so I decided that I would treat myself to a brand new Chevy Colorado! The trip down was fairly uneventful. There were a couple accidents and it snowed lightly, but that's to be expected this time of year. The main thing that I love about this pickup is the speakers! They are so much better than the Camry's, but then again, just about any new speakers are. Unless you have a vehicle that doesn't have speakers. That's basically a sin though. I cranked my Pandora and sang at the top of my lungs to every song that I knew the words to. It felt wrong not to. Music always helps trips go faster, especially when you really get into it. The eight hours went by in what felt like seven, which still isn't much of an improvement but I'll take what I can get. I went to my mom's place first, her name is Jackie, and she is a naturally colored Dalmation. The plan was to stay a few days with her, have Thanksgiving dinner, and then head down to my dad's place for another Thanksgiving dinner! "Hey there!" She yelled, speed walking through the yard toward me. "Howdy!" I excitedly replied back as she hugged me in that signature mom hug. "How have you been? We haven't talked in a while! Why don't you answer my calls? Who is this girl I've seen on your Instagram?" She was so happy to see me that everything she could think of spilled out at once. "Woah now, haha, one question at a time please! Lets go inside and catch up on life." I got all of my stuff out of the pickup and headed inside, preparing myself for another bombardment of questions and short statements.
