''Hey bro! I got the job!!'' I exclaim, talking to my best friend Alec on the phone. ''Awesome dudeskies! I'm glad that you finally found out that you can't live on hopes and dreams!'' He jokes. ''Haha, sadly, you're right. But, it was fun while it lasted. Say, there's a new movie in town, wanna go see it?'' ''Sure thing dude! Can I invite Walker and Joclynn too? It's been a while since all of us were together.'' He asks. ''Of course! The more the merrier! Can you pick me up though? My lights have been having issues and I don't want to be driving at night in case they were to quit working.'' I ask. And it is a genuine problem that I seriously should get fixed, but mechanics are so expensive, and I have no reason to be driving when it's dark anyways. I'm always at home watching YouTube or Netflix. ''I got you fam!'' He shouts. It's an inside joke, any time we say that line we have to yell it into the speaker. ''What time are you wanting to go to?'' ''How about the 6:35 showing?'' I ask. ''Sweet, sounds good to me man, see ya then!'' And just like that, all was quiet again. I go into my room, take off all my fancy clothes and put on regular blue jeans and my epic Megadeth tee shirt. I would be looking for something to eat right about now, but thankfully the interview was held inside one of the local sports bars. As I plop down on the couch I feel one of the legs on the couch splinter, but it was too late for me. The leg snaps and sends the weight of me and that half of the couch right onto my tail. ''SON OF A BITCH!!!'' I scream in pain. ''JUST HAD TO HAPPEN TO ME DIDN'T IT!!!'' After a moment of caressing my beautiful tail I am able to pull myself together, sticking a phone book under the broken leg. ''Thank God it isn't a tall couch, or I'd be chucking the damn thing through the window right now.'' I joke to myself, trying to make fun of the situation. ''Now, all I have to do is wait.'' And wait I did. I had just bought an XBOX 1 and Forza Horizon 3 to go with it, so I spent the rest of my afternoon sticking Lamborghini engines and twin turbos in my Ford utility van, which I then proceeded to jump over sand dunes with. After a while, I heard a very familiar knock pattern on my door. Throwing the door open, I see Alec standing there, with a very neutral expression. This expression wasn't only on his face, but just the way he was standing made him look really...neutral. That's all I can think to put it. But anyways, that's typical Alec for you. He is a white and blue wolf with blue eyes and a very mild sense of humor. He loves cars and music, and plays the guitar better than anybody else I know. I am about to get into the front seat but quickly remember that he brought his girlfriend Joclynn with him. So I get in the backseat of his matte black GMC Sierra instead. Joclynn is tall for a girl, and kinda skinny. She is a  brown, black, and white husky. She is very kind hearted and loving, and I don't know anybody that looks better together than her and Alec. Seeing them so happy together makes me feel so empty inside. It's like an infill able void that is always eating at me, making me desire more and more for a meaningful relationship with somebody. But that feeling quickly goes away with some conversation. ''Hey Joclynn!! How are you today!?'' I ask excitedly. It's been so long since I saw her last. ''I am super great today Jupiter! It has been, like what, 2 years since we last saw each other?'' She says, confirming what I just said. ''Something like that.'' I say. ''Well Jupe, I hate to say it but not a whole lot has changed in my life. Just swimming and cross country ya know. But I see that you moved into your own place! How's that going for ya?'' She asks, actually wanting to know something about me. ''Oh you know, friggen lonely all the time. But I hope to change that soon. Other than that, I really like it. Being in control of myself is something I have looked forward to for a long time!'' Conversation didn't really build from there. We are a quiet bunch, and it has always been that way. We value the silence, and that isn't a bad thing. Not too long after, we arrive at Walker's place, and there is somebody with him that I haven't seen before. Walker is a German Shepherd, natural colored. He also loves cars and music, but isn't very good at the music part. Him and I ride dirt bikes all the time, and he is always improving at it. But it looks to me like he might have picked himself up a girl. ''Great'' I say under my breath, ''just what I needed, to be the forgotten third wheel.'' She is a naturally colored leopard, and I haven't seen her before. ''Huh, she must be new around here.'' I hear Alec say. '' Yeah, I haven't seen her before either.'' Chimed Joclynn. The door opens, and Walker slides in next to me. ''Hey! What's up bud!?'' I ask, as he takes up the entire middle of the truck. ''Ah you know bro, the usual.'' Then the mystery leopard gets in the pickup. ''Hey everyone! My name is Ariel, and I just moved here about 2 weeks ago!'' We introduce ourselves, which didn't take long, and head out to the movies. We ended up watching this horror/comedy that was about an angry chef that goes on a killing spree using a corn dog from the kids menu. It was like Master Chef gone wrong. And that was the whole movie. An hour and a half of chocking people to death with a corn dog. Alec dropped us all off after a late night outing to Sonic, and I was alone again. The only one in my lonely house.
