*Four Years Later*
"Look at my beautiful husband on his birthday." I smiled as Scott came up from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist. He began kissing my neck, taking the most sensitive areas he's found over the years between his teeth. I let my head fall back against his shoulder with quiet gasps.
"Do y-you want me to-o finish dinner?" His hands slipped underneath my shirt.
"Not really."
"S-Scott." I tried pushing his hands away but what can I say. His touch makes me give in. "Scott! Andy is home." He didn't stop at the mention of our child's name.
"Then you have to be quiet." He bit down on my earlobe.
"That's impossible and you know it." I pushed on his chest. "I'm serious. If you keep this up, you can forget about it tonight." He immediately let go and put his hands up. I rolled my eyes at him. "You're a dork." He kissed my cheek. I turned my head to give him a quick kiss on the lips.
"I'm going to go check on Andy." He had his lips back up to my ear. "You better make that a promise. Got it?" I hummed. He disappeared out of the kitchen with a little wave.
Four years with that wonderful man. I was still jumpy, I was still afraid of being hurt when we go out, and if I'm given an order, I still follow it. Which sucks considering we adopted an a two year old that's now six. He's in the 'I want you to do anything I ask for' phase. That blue eyed boy was a handful. But I loved him. We adopted him before he was thrown in the same situation as I was. Sold into a sex house to be raised. The way his eyes stood against his dark hair made me stop. If I had a choice, I would have taken all the kids. We couldn't exactly do that with our money situation. And Andy was the youngest. So that how we now have the cuteness we named Andy.
That was all I ever wanted with Scott. A normal life. A kid, a house, and a job. He laughed so hard when I got my job working from home. I design website stuff on a computer (which Scott taught me how to do). But now I stay with Andy at him while Scott works in an office in town. Everything was wonderful. My cuts were all healed but they were scars now. I can read almost perfectly. Some words slight trip me up. The most important part was I felt safe. Relaxed. So far I have lived for twenty one years.
"Go get daddy." I lifted Andy up in my arm as he ran towards me.
"Hey buddy." He glanced towards Scott.
"I'm sick." He did a fake cough. "So you and dad should leave me with the babysitter while you go out to celebr-ant." I gave Scott one of my 'really' looks. I put my hand against Andy's forehead.
"Oh no! You are sick. Now we can't go out." I set the little boy on the counter. "We have to take you to the hospital where they are going to hook you up to machines and give you shots an-" Andy freaked out.
"Wait. Dada told me to say dat! I don't want to go!" He began crying.
"Sweetheart." I hugged him close. "I'm not going to take you. I just wanted to prove that your dad was lying." I rocked Andy back and forth to calm him down. Scott groaned in defeat. "Come on. I made your favorite."
"Spicy chicken, Mac n cheese, and broklee!"
"Yep." I set him on the ground so he could set the silverware and napkins. Scott came up to help me prepare the plates.
