"Laurence no!" I tugged on his arm when he saw the ship. His face wore an angered expression. He had his Shadow Knight skin, and his eyes were red.
"Laurence. STAP." He dragged me across the tree in my attempt to stop him.
"La-okay. He's gone." Laurence jumped down off the tree, and started to the docks.
Docks. Red. Splattered in blood.
"Should we-" Dante began.
"No. He needs this."
"HEY DICKHEAD! REMEMBER ME?!" You could hear him from the other end of town.
"Well, they're dead. So, Dante, how's your day been?"
"Gee, whaddya think? It's been SUPER!"
"I guessed as much. Kawaii Chans fine. She didn't want to draw attention, so she doesn't want anyone to go to her place."
"Did you seriously think I would leave her alone? This is a hell. I can't leave her in there. She wouldn't let me do it though, she wanted me to go with the kids."
"Kawaii Chan is a sharp knife. She knows what she's doing."
"Yeah, she is. So, where's Alina?"
"Can't say. Anyone can listen."
"With Z?"
I shook my head and winked. He nodded and looked back over to the splotches of blood and dead werewolves . Laurence walked onto the ship, probably in search of survivors.
"TAKE THAT SHITS!"
"He needs it."
"Check up on everyone else. I need to... process some things."
" 'Kay. Rest up Dante. I've had an amazing promise that ZANE will be killed tomorrow."
Lilith and Ace were sleeping.
Dmitri and Nekoette were somewhat sleeping.
"What were Lucinda and Aphmau doing when you were on the ship?" Garroth asked.
"Luci was sleeping. I told her I was leaving. As far as I knew, Aph was sleeping aswell."
"Do you know where you were?"
"We had passed Scaleswind about... five minutes before I left."
"So, realistically, Aph and Lucinda would be here... in two hours."
"Yeah, I guess."
"Aaaand now he's rampaging off the ship, and back here."
"That was the best moment of my life." Laurence yelled, and I let him up.
"Got out your energy, huh?"
"Oh shut up." He tossed me a piece of clothing. "Came from the guy that tried to give me a free haircut." He pointed to the back of his head.
It was a dark purple shirt.
"Thanks man."
"Yeah, whatever. Hit the sack, I can sense others from miles away."
"Same here. Like, right now." I snapped my fingers, and a Shadow Knights heart stopped.
I pulled the shirt over my head, and sat on the edge of the tree.
"I can take first watch. I don't mind."
"It's okay, I can-"
"I don't want to sleep."
"... Alright. I'm giving you two hours, than I take over."
"Fine."
He fell asleep soon, leaving me the only one awake. I tried to wrap my head around the events of today.
Dante almost died.
I left Luci and Aph.
I saved Vylad and Dante.
I found and helped Lilith and Ace.
I took away Gene's immortality.
Dante and Dayia got to kill Gene.
Alinas with Zoey in Yggdrisl.
Aphmau and Lucinda were coming back here. I remember Aph's reaction to Shad the time we let Zane guide us through the nether. That was a few months ago. She was devestated.
Lilith got her first kill.
Laurence killed the entirety of the Southern Werewolves tribe.
Kawaii Chan and Emmie are hiding in Kawaii Chans place.
I had confessed about my human condition.
Saved Nekoette and Dmitri.
And... I still need to find him. Maybe since Gene died, Levin's memories would come back. Maybe he'd like me again. Maybe I could have him back. Maybe my boulevard of broken dreams can be rebuilt.
I must've spent so much time fantasizing about if Levin could come back, Laurence kept to his promise and woke up two hours later.
"Times up kid." He said, as another boat peeked into sight.
"Yep." I slid away, and tried to lie down. It didn't work. I felt like I had gone to sleep and just woke up. The itching thought of Dayia stayed in my mind.
Trouble.
"Laur? I'll be right back. I need to go out."
"Where."
"Save someone." I sprinted off the  tree, making a loud thud on the ground. I knew it had woken up a few others, but I needed to save my oldest friend.
I mean, currently alive.
"Well, that happened!" Laurence shouted from the tree.
Square.
Donna and Logans shop.
...enemies.
Battling.
Twins.
Werewolf. Both twins.
Logan.
Protecting both little ones.
Dayia, try to protect.
Other try to kill. Want more energy. Physical source fading.
I reared a  sharp turn, with my hand at my hip.
Ready.

I heard the sound of a shriek.

I could see the broken in door.
1...
"EAT A DICK!" I shouted, jumping onto the man. He went tumbling downward, and his body crashed into the ground with a smash.
"I HATE SHADOW KNIGHTS." I stabbed him continously in the small of his back.
His body faded into the ground, and he was gone.
"Well. Thanks." Logan said, pushing the kids back. Dayia was sitting down with her sword ready. She was in her Shadow Knight form, panting heavy.
'I mean, not you. Or Laurence or Quill. Everyone else sucks."
"Thanks. Logan, are you sure you don't wanna come with me?"
"We're in a safe hiding place. Thank you for your help. You can leave."
"Day, you wanna come back with me? "
"Sure. I've already scouted the area. Logan, where are you guys hiding out?"
"There's a cave, I shouldn't say where, and most of the civilians are hiding there."
"Okay. Loki, I accept. Let's go."
I waited until Logan and his kids were out of sight. When we got back to the tree, Aphmau was up at the top with Luci.
"Don't you ever scare us like that again!" Luci scolded.
"You can't just say a few words, and leave out of the blue. We were worried."
"I'm sorry. My friend was giving me a message that the Shadow Knights had invaded Pheonix Drop, and are in search of Alina. I panicked, ran to Lucinda, and well, teleported."
"Remind me why you couldn't bring other people with you? Perhaps Lucinda and Aphmau?"
"It's a will thing. I can't do it to God like beings, or witches. So, Luci and Aph are off the list."
"Great. Aph, Luci, Loki, Dayia, go the hell to sleep." Laurence said, sitting on the edge of the branch.
I didn't realize how tired I was.
Or that I had Dayia as a snuggle buddy. (😍😶)
