You're on fire, When He speaks

You're on fire, Burning at these mysteries"

Tonight...I Burn

~Riley~

This was not how I pictured us meeting again, throughout the years I've dreamt of multiple situations and I always wondered what I would do or say if I ever saw him again. However, now that it was actually happening, my mind was completely blank. We continued to stare at each other openly, but then his eyes quickly hardened and were void of all emotion and looked pass me to Liam.

"Do you realize that you're buying drinks for a minor?" he asked Liam in a dangerously low voice.

"The hell are you talking about? She bought her own drinks," Liam defended himself.

"What?!" he growled. "Take her to my office, I'll be there in a minute," Blake ordered.

"You take her, I'll deal with the bartenders. I don't need you firing anyone tonight."

Blake groan lowly and looked between the bartenders and I, "Fine, let's go," he snatched my hand and pulled me through the crowd.

His skin was hot on mine, and only seemed to be getting hotter by the second. He gently pulled me into an elevator just beyond the bar; he had laced his fingers through mine and his thumb was absently tracing circles in my palm. The burning sensation started to travel up my arm into my chest, where it rapidly spread all over my body, causing my mind to get fuzzy.

God I missed him

Me too

I knew he was close but you didn't want to look!

He left! How many times must we go through this?

The ding of the elevator broke my thoughts as Blake pulled me into an office.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he snapped.

What!

Eyes dark as coal glared at me with such an intensity that it unnerved me. I've never been at the receiving end of one of his penetrating glares, but now I knew why everyone always ran away from him. His dark eye had the ability to shred your soul from just one glance, encasing you in the darkest nightmare you've ever faced.

Snap out of it! You can't allow him to overpower you, you're stronger than this

Closing my eyes, I take two shallow breaths, turning sadness and despair into anger, and pinned him with my own glare.

"I see that you haven't changed," I growled. "No you have, you're more of an ass."

"While I appreciated the compliment, that still does not explain what the hell you're doing in my club."

"That explains a lot," I snickered.

"Meaning?" he asked skeptically.

"Asylum, really?" I teased as I walked towards his large black desk. "The decor of the club, and don't get me started on this office," I sighed as I sat in his leather chair.

"What the hell is wrong with my office! Don't answer because I really don't give a f*ck," if possible, his eyes got darker as he tightened his fist. A low growl passed his lips as he advanced towards me. "Get. Out. Of. My. Chair."

"Did you miss me?"

"W-What?" caught off guard by my question, Blake's eyes wavered slightly and his fist relaxed.

Got you! I smiled with victory.

Do not fuck this up, kid, we need him.

"Did. You. Miss. Me?" I slowly caressed each word and watched him try to hide just how much I was affecting.

"There was nothing to miss," he said darkly after he composed himself.

His words burned like acid, I tried to not let my body betray my true feelings but I knew I failed by the smirk that slowly crept across his face.

"Seven years," I mumbled. "Seven years, and not once did you-" I looked away from his eyes as my voice faded.

"You gonna cry now? Because, if so, spare me,"

"You asshole! You will never be the cause of my tears ever again," anger built like wild fire with me, I started to see red as I rose from my seat and walked towards him.

"Is that a promise?" he asked solemnly once I stood before him.

"Yes, and I keep my promises!" I snarled in his face.

He looked down on me with eyes that I could not read, it was a cross between pain, anticipation and disgust. My breath hitched when something else shone through his eyes. I shuddered as his hands ignited my soul as they slid up my bare arms; when they paused at my shoulders I tried to control my breathing but had no such luck.

"Bla-"

"Shh," he whispered, whilst his fingers continued their fiery trail up the columns of my neck to my cheeks. He used his knuckles to tenderly caress my right cheek and low moan slipped from my lips. "You are so infuriating," he groaned.

"And your an ass," I breathed heavily.

"Do you ever shut up?" minty breath fanned my face as he teased.

"Will you ever admit to how you really feel?" I shot back

"I did once," he mumbled as he inched closer to my face. "I really do hope for both our sakes that you can keep your promise," less than an inched separated his lips from mine, and in that moment I realized just how much I want to have his lips on mine. Before I could say or do anything else, the door flew open with a loud crash.

"I tried to stop him," Liam's voice yelled

"Get the fuck away from her!" I heard Lucas growled loudly, before he charged at Blake.

Damn! I fucking hate this guy!
