One moment I am depressed

The next I am overly excited

These feelings are so hard to digest

You're the one to which I have confided

You're the one who's on my mind

I feel like I can talk to you

You've just been to kind

I've given you a preview

I've let you inside

I am trying to protect my heart

I am trying to hide

But you've been pulling me apart

And I've been letting you in

Where no one else has been

I know you're gonna leave me

I know you won't stay

You'll see that I am nobody

And you'll get to leave carefree

I won't be able to take it

I just won't make it

I can't let myself get hurt again

But I just can't let you be

I don't want to flee

I want you to want me

I want you to not leave

I just want you to stay
