Sherwin's POV
I've spent most of my time re-imagining the conversation I just had with jonathan, it made me curled up on the sofa smiling and giggling to myself. As I thoroughly thought about it, I cringed at it with a massive blush on my face. "Oh my god..." I mumbled on my hand that was covering my mouth.
I feel like that was like those cheesy romantic cliché in a movie? I bit my lower lip as my hand covering it closed into a fist pressed gently on my lips. "Is there something wrong?" I perked up from the sofa as mom suddenly popped her head on the rear side of my view. "N-nothing m-mom!" I waved my hand rapidly at her which she only gave me a warm smile.
She caught one of my hand flying left and right. "Sweetie? Are you alright? You're red" She quickly put a hand on my forehead. I panicked. "N-no, I'm n-not mom..."my voice faded as she hold on her stare at me. She furrowed her eyes at me. *Gulped* I slowly took breaths hopely trying to lessen the bright blush on my face. I looked around the house as if seeing it the first time again just to avoid mom's very intrigued looked on her face.
"Sherwin? Are...were you blushing?" I heard mom with amusement raising in her voice. I looked up at her biting my lower lip inwardly. "And you're phone....*Gasp!!*" she looked at me while she covered her mouth with her left free hand.
"Sherwin....sweetie!!!" She squealed and needless to say I almost jumped out of my skin, she sat down in front of me on the sofa. My shoulder tense up as mom gave me a bear hug. "Ohhhh!!! Sweetie, sherwin my little pumpkin baby!!" She continued to squeal but now very near my ear. Ouch. "Mom!!! Stop it!" I groaned as I tried to power my way out of my mom's death grip.
"Mom!..." I pouted my cheeks at her when she finally let go. "I'm sorry, sweetie *sniff* I'm just very happy...ohhh" with that she hugged me again but less with the crushing force and getting jabbed by her knees on my mid section, it lasted for a little while before she release me. "Me and my Overeacting dramatic Mother" I made sure it was long enough for her to hear me *Pinched* "Aww!! Mom!" I rubbed my left cheek were she just pinched me. "I'm not dramatic and ohhhh!! My baby boy is all grown up!" She let out a dramatic deep sigh and rest her chin on her knees as she hugged her legs. Yep, not dramatic at all.
"I'm not a baby boy anymore.." I looked up on her with my best annoyed look, I'm not used doing this but I take practice with mom. It might just come in handy sometime in the future. "You're always MY baby boy" she ruffled my messy ginger curls that I inherited from her and happily smiled.
"So....who were you talking to earlier?" She gave me a teasing smile, I blushed pink remembering the root of this scene were having right now. "Umm..n-no one.." I tried the old "no one" trick but no one really buys that sooo points taken for me.
"Really? All that giggling and smiling is because of no one?" She made a face which I can only describe as a "Duck Face" and proceed to poked me on the cheeks. "Mom! Stop!" I pouted my cheeks again. I couldn't get mad at her cuz I'm not used to getting angry and she happens to be my mother and I love her.
"It's really no one, Mom" I wished someone would atleast consider my lies. I don't like lying at all but sometimes it's the only way to get out of something. Like something right now. But cursed me I'm really bad at lying even a kid would know I lied.
"Sweetie, you're a terrible liar" she said. She then snatched my pen from my hand. "Who do we have here?" She said as she jogged away. "Mom!!" I yelled the best that I can without breaking my voice and ran after her. "Mom!! My phone! Give it back!!" I chase her around the house but she seemed to ignore my calls and just gave me a casual "Just a minute, sweetie" and "ohh, is it this one? No" "ohh, maybe this one!!" This is a downside of having a very energetic mom.
