Kanae Part Two: The World Together Again

Chapter Six: Take me Instead

Voice "Kanae." I shift my head. "Kanae." I Hear my name called again I slowly open my eyes and raise my arm to shield my eyes from the bright light. "good morning, Kanae" I look to the person who has been calling my name.

Kanae "who are you?"

Man "wait you don't remember me?" I stand up looking at him.

Kanae "have we meet before?"

Man "you really don't remember me." I watch his eyes go from being bight and happy, to a dull, sad look.

Kanae "I mean if we meet it's been a long time."

Man "I'm Tatsuya."

My eyes widen, and fill with tears.

Kanae "you're okay?"

Tatsuya "yeah, I was just walking though and saw you laying here. Are you okay?"

I nod my head rapidly. A few beads of tears fly off my face.

Kanae "I just can't believe you're okay..."

Suddenly he looks me, his eyes narrow. I notice his eyes aren't blue that how they were when he was a kid. He smiles creepily.

Kanae "Tatsuya?" He laughs manically. And pulls out a knife. "what are you doing?!"

Tatsuya "killing you. Everyone wants you dead. A God living on Earth, it's not meant to be. you can't be allowed to live anymore!" he yells. He swings, and I jump back. "you killed so many people!" he yells again and swings his knife. "die, die, die" he laughs. This is no longer the Tatsuya I once knew. He is different. Evil. I stop and stay in place. As he goes to swing he stops "you're not going to run away anymore?" his smile disappears.

Kanae "I have no need to run. I'm not scared of a human. I'm more powerful than you ever wish you could be." my eyes turn scarlet red.

You could hear him clench his teeth, in sheer anger. He swings, I raise my hand up and knife slides right though my skin like a warm knife cutting though butter. I wince at the pain.

Kanae "I can suffer a small deal of pain for the life's that where lost. But Tatsuya you need to stop this!"

He laughs and pushes the knife harder into my hand. My eyes glance back and forth. The Jorōgumos where just watching. I inhale deeply and exhale. I start laughing I guess I can't call of the help of the gods or the dragons when I am a God. I think to myself. "tell me Tatsuya, do you know what it feels like to die" I say, and he only looks at me "come on talk to me. You were just so talkative before! What's wrong?

Tatsuya "just shut up and die." He says his voice low and harsh. It sends chills down my spine. He pushes harder, and start to fell scared not because my own friend is attacking but because I haven't regained my full strength back yet. I have no choice but to fight back. I grab his hand and twist myself to stand next to him and throw my elbow over his forearm and push down with everything I have. Crack the sound of his bone breaking shatters my heart. I break free from his grip and with my elbow I swing up and hit him, he is still for a second than falls to the ground.

Kanae "come on let's go back to the Fairies Guild." I jump onto Aoto's back and we all start running back to the guild.

All nine Jorōgumos charge into the guild not just breaking the double doors but crushing them. There In the front stand Sossory and Sasuke.

Kanae "where is a medical ninja?" I demand jumping from Aoto's back.

Sasuke "what happened?!" he grabs my hand and looks at both sides "this nearly a fifteen-inch knife. How the hell did you get this stuck into your hand?"

Kanae "I was attacked." I say, he looks at me puzzled.

Sossory "by who?"

Kanae "an old friend... where is a medical ninja?"

Sasuke "over here. Hey Ski!" a short man comes running out of the medical room.

Ski "oh, oh what the hell is going on? What are those?"

Kanae "don't worry about them, they won't hurt you unless you attack them. Sossory do you know how to use the Sealing magic?"

Sossory "you want me to put..." he looks over at the Jorōgumos "all nine into you?"

Sasuke "that will kill you Kanae."

I smile and shake my head. Than sit on the bed. Ski goes and pulls out a needle and injects some kind of liquid into my hand, making it go numb. He then yanks the knife out. He then runs over and grabs another needle and string and comes and closes up the hole the knife created.

Kanae "so I'm guessing that's a no."

Sossory "I do."

Kanae "so let's do it."

Sossory "you do realize the effect this could have on you right?"

Kanae "no one has even done this before, so we don't even know what would happen."

Sossory "you have a point."

Kanae "so you going to help with me with or no?"

Sossory "only if you take back your threat."

Kanae "does it really matter, your still immortal. I can't kill you even if I tried. I may be a God now but I'm not the God who gave you the power."

Sossory sighs, and nods.

Sossory "basement"

I smile and walk out the medical room. And back into the main opening of the guild. There all nine Jorōgumos stand and wait for me to say something:

Kanae "are you all ready to do this?" I ask

Isamu "let's get this over with."

He says walking over to me, the other eight follow without questions. I turn, and we head into the basement. There on the ground was a soft outline of a pentagram. Here we go. I say to myself as I walk inside of it. The Jorōgumos walk inside of it also. Sossory walks to one end of it and squats down.

Sossory "are you sure you want to do this?"

Kanae "yeah"

Sossory sighs and places his hands to the ground "I call upon the creator of hell and heaven. To seal these demons inside of this girl." He mumbles out.

I wait for a second and nothing happens but then suddenly a bright light appears from the pentagram and chains rip out from my chest and collars appear on the Jorōgumos. And the chains attack the collars. And within seconds the large beats are sliding across the floor. I wince at the pain its causing. But keep my composer. The first one is in than the next one and when the third one is sealed away my vision goes blurry and I black out.
