Kanae Part Two: The World Together Again

Chapter Eight: Death and Old Friends

Kanae "no Tobi! We are in this together!"

Sossory "it's too dangerous even for us Kanae!"

Kanae "no, I'm not leaving Tobi again!"

Tobi "please Kanae! Do it for me!"

Kanae "I didn't train all this time and seal all of the Jorōgumo's inside of me for nothing! I'm not leaving not until this place is destroyed like Heaven's island!"

The walls start to fall around us even people in the organization start to run for they're lives.

About two weeks ago...

Standing in a vast open field, Sossory and Minato both watch from a distance. I now have to learn how to control all fourteen Jorōgumos. Slowly breathing, and channeling my magic to various points of my body. Slowly allowing the Jorōgumos to mix they're magic with mine. It feels weird being able to do this. There is a part of me that feels like I'm too strong for what I should be. But Kenji is always telling me about these 'characters' he calls them; and how they have this incredible power. Like stopping a bullet that is flying at the speed of light, which apparently is way too fast. He described it to me like a lightening flash. I still have a lot to learn about this world. Everything changed so fast. Maybe destroying the wall wasn't a good idea.

I stop training and turn to Sossory and Minato.

Minato "you okay?"

Kanae "yeah..."

Sossory "getting tried?"

Kanae "no. but can I ask you something?"

Sossory "what is it?"

Kanae "do you think I messed up destroying the wall. I mean looked at what happened. Sasuke is dead. Hiroshi is dead. Tatsuya... I almost killed him. I threatened the organization he is a part of. I didn't really help anything."

Minato "you did a lot for us Majikku actually."

Kanae "what do you mean?"

Sossory "you allowed us to experience all of this new technology that the Humans have created. They showed us all of the inventions they have created. If you didn't destroy the wall... our children would have been using the same materials that we were using four years ago."

I smile.

Kanae "I guess you're right."

Sossory "although..." he stops and places his hand onto his chin, and smiles. "we should kill every last human."

I stop smiling and walk closer to him.

Kanae "I may not be able to kill you. But I can now go into the God's realm and have the god who gave you power kill you"

Minato "why would you even ask something like that Sossory??"

Kanae "because he has become just as greedy as the humans. He's no better than them."

Sossory "whatever, I think your done training Kanae. You got your magic to combine with the Jorōgumo's power" he turns and starts to walk away "you stupid Ma-juu" he mumbles.

Minato "don't mind him."

Kanae "I don't know why I would."

Minato "did you actually get your magic to mix with the Jorōgumos?"

Kanae "just a little. Then I started to think about other things."

Minato "like what?"

Kanae "if I should just give up?"
