Upon A Midnight Kiss

Chapter 8

Athena's P.O.V.

From: Nate <3

Hey babe, I'll pick you up at 3 pm, ok? ;)

To: Nate <3

Hey Nate. Sure. Where are we going and what shall I wear? :3

From: Nate <3

It's a surprise! Wear anything you want, you'll look good in anything ;)

I smiled at his text. Today will be our very first date and hopefully not the last. 

"Sweetie, who are you texting with?" I saw dad at the doorway, smiling.

"Just someone,dad. Do you need anything?" I asked

"Actually, I do." He sat down beside me and hug me from the side. 

 I just love my dad.

"I have a gift for you sweetie." I gave him a confuse look. He took something in his pocket and motioned me to turn around. I felt something cold touch my neck.

"Dad, it's beautiful!" I exclaimed. He gave me a silver necklace with a treble clef pendant that has black diamond accents. It was just beautiful.

"Do you like it?" he asked me. 

I stared at him in awe. "Dad, I love it!"

He gave me a small smile and hug me one more time. "I want you to wear it always, ok?" 

I nodded but before I could ask him why he would give me this he walked out my room, leaving me alone.

Dad and I have the same taste in music. Sometimes we would sing and dance together during family night. Not to brag but I have an amazing voice. So does my dad. He would sing me lullabies at night. He and I are pretty close. But after I turned 16, he changed. He rarely sings with me. H's always busy at work I guess.

--2:30 o'clock pm--

I am now getting ready for my "DATE" with Nate. He asked me many questions about what I like and what I'm allergic to.

My outfit was just simple. I didn't want to over dress. I wore a simple purple top that was strapless paired with white pants then black sandals. I put on some accessories making sure to wear the necklace dad gave me. 

 SINGING RADIOHEAD AT THE TOP-

"Hello" I answered my phone as soon as it started ringing.

"Hey, you ready?" 

"Nate, you said 3 pm." He's early.

"Uhmm. babe, it's already 3." I look at the time. 

oh! it's already 3:02. I guess I lost track of time.

"Ha. ha. I knew that." I lied. "Are you here already?" 

"Of course you knew. Yep. I'm at the car outside."

"Ok. I'll be there a bit." I ended the call and made my way downstairs, grabbing my favorite black jacket.

"Hunny, you look beautiful.' Mom announced

"You look beautiful princess but where are you going?" asked dad.

"Well, I'm going to a date with Nate." I smiled.

"Ahw." Mom shrieked at the same time dad shouted "WHAT?!"

"Are you guys planning on making your daughter deaf?"  

Why do people always shout at me? I'm not deaf. 

"Sweetie, why did you not tell me?" "Why did you not tell me?" they both said at the same time.

"Well.."I started "I must have forgotten" I said adding a little laugh at the end.

*beep* 

"Ok, that's him. I'll text you every hour, ok? BYE!" before they have anything to say, I rushed out the house heading to Nate's beautiful, beautiful car. 

relax athena, It's just a date. It's not like you haven't gone to a date before. 

I opened the car door and went inside giving Nate a smile. 

"Hey babe, you look beautiful."  He said, kissing my cheeks. You see, me and Nate didn't have kiss on the lips ever since we've been together. Of course, not including the "midnight" kiss. He suggested that we take it slow, and I like that.

"Thanks. Not bad yourself"  he started the car, leaving my driveway.

"Yeah, I'm hot." I rolled my eyes at his statement. One of the things I learned about him, is that he's very very very "humble" *Note the sarcasm*

"HA.Ha.Ha. Is that the best joke you got?" I joked. Now it's his time to roll his eyes. "Soo, where are we going?" 

"It's a secret." he has a big smirk on his face. I NEVER liked surprises. 

"Nate, where are we going?" I asked one more time giving him a glare, even though he isn't looking at me. 

"Don't worry, it's not that far." he answered. "In fact, we're right here." he added shortly. I stared at the surrounding. We're in an Ice Rink!

I gave him a short hug. "Thank You! It's been so long since I've been here!"

"Yep! So enough talking, we still have a busy day ahead of us." I almost jumped at the excitement. This day is sure to be fun!

I know, I know,where in the world were I? I was, again, busy at the shop. I need a break. This was suppose to be MY vacation. MINE! But I was wrong.
