Upon A Midnight Kiss

Chapter 2

"Athena! Athena! Wake up! Wake up! Today's a special day! You'll be late"

Mom was practically jumping on my bed. Sometimes I wonder if mom is really an adult. I swear, she acts like a 6 yrs old child most of the time.

"I'm awake! I'm awake! Geeez. You're more exited than I am." I groaned, sitting up.

"Well duh. My daughter is finally a senior." she said with a pointed look.

"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes. "What time is it?" I added

"uhmm. 5:00 am" she said checking her watch.

Wait. Whaat?!?

"Mom! Classes start at 7:15!" I said with a gasp.

"Athena, you're a girl. And I want to make sure you have enough time to dress up for your 1st day as a senior." she scold me

"I want more sleep." I whine and lie down, closing my eyes

"Athena, you will get up right now! I'll be waiting downstairs. Don't even think about going back to sleep." she said before leaving my room.

I groaned again. Finally getting out of bed and heading to the shower for a nice relaxing bath.

6:15

It took me 1 hr and 15 mins to finish my bath. I am currently facing the mirror checking my outfit.

I wore a white dress that ends above the knee and pair it with my black leather jacket and some boots that I loved.

Damn. I look HOT!

Heading downstairs, I heard my mom and dad having one of those serious conversation about the problems occuring in the country or something. I dunno. They're weird.

"Good Morning mom, dad." I stated with a goofy smile plastered on my face.

"Good morning sweetie. Sit down and start eating." my dad said reading a newspaper and holding his #1 DAD cup that I gave him in his birthday a few years back.

I sat down and started eating breakfast with them in silence

"Soo.." my mom started "Is someone picking you up?"

"No, I think I'll walk. I need some exercise." I said shaking my head

"Are you sure? Your dad-"

"I'm sure mom" I said cutting her off. My parents are really protective of me. They don't like me getting hurt. Well, what do you expect? I'm their only daughter.

Which pretty much sucks. I always wanted a little sister/brother.

"Mom, Dad" I called out. "I'm leaving already."

"Good luck sweetie" dad shouted from the leaving room, watching some game of baseball.

"Are sure you don't need a ride?" she asked. "Maybe you can ask some of your friends."

"Mom, I'll be fine. School's not that far." I said giving her a peck in the cheeks. "Goodby-"

A car horn cut me off. I turned around to see Nathan in the car smirking

"Need a ride babe?"

I glared at him. "No, I don-"

"She does!" mom shouted. My eyes widen and face mom with my mouth shaping an 'o' as she said those words

"Darling please, I don't want you getting hurt" she said using her 'best' puppy eyes, which I cannot say 'no' to.

"Fine" I muttered under my breath.

"Love you hunny" she said as I started walking towards the devil's car.
