Penny:

Blurry, hazy visions are floating before my eyes. Flames and destruction, chaos beyond compare.

I'm falling. Falling down into the abyss of flame with no way to stop myself. Out of the sky above me, a hand reaches out. I grab for it desperately and it pulls me up, into the cool air.

A face. One too blurry to identify. It's hardened and sharp, concealing something soft and gentle and vulnerable. Distant rhythmic beeps start getting louder and closer, until I realise

It's the sound of my alarm clock. I slowly open up my eyes and find myself in bed, listening to the sound of Chief Quimby needing me on a mission. Again.

Couldn't the world just... not be in trouble for once so that I could sleep in?

I got up grumbily and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. I pressed the voice note button for Quimby to deliver his message.

We've stopped the "Quimby giving the mission in person" system because uncle G couldn't stop putting the message back into Quimby's mouth, despite self destruct warnings.

As the message played on I groaned and started dressing. I could just tell by the sound of his voice that it was gonna be a long, looong, loooong day.

That it was. No, splendid actually. I always wanted to go to Ireland for a holiday.

Yeah. For a holiday. In summer. Unfortunately that would not be the case. Instead I got sheep shit all over my boots, a sneezing Brain and a headache from embarrassment.

Did I mention this? I chased after Talon in an ancient Irish castle. Yeah. It would be pretty amazing if it weren't an abandoned Irish castle.

With trap doors. And skeletons. And no signal. We were stuck down there for HOURS.

Yes, it seemed like centuries.

But then again, I can't say that I regret it.
