Talon:

I held on tight. Penny was driving really really fast. She halted her scooter at an alarming speed, and we stopped at the edge of a large field.

She tossed off her helmet and climbed off after latching the kickstand.

"Alright, we should be safe here." She said and turned to face me.

I demounted the scooter and came to stand before her. "Why did you want to see me?" She asked softly.

"Because..." I had a perfectly formulated aswer for when the time came, but now it was gone. I couldn't remember one single word from it.

"Because?" She stepped closer, encouraging me.

"Because... I want more. More of what we had... back in Ireland."

"You want a trap?"

"A truce, Penny."

The walls crumbled, and I knew they wouldn't be going back up again. Penny's eyes widened with surprise.

"Talon, I-"

"It's really fine if you don't want to. I just had to voice my reasons."

"No, Talon... I want this as much as you do, but..."

"You do?"

"Of course I do."

"Then say no more, Pen."

Penny looked like she wanted to say a great many things in that moment, but instead she just closed her mouth and dropped her head.

Penny:

That dumb dork.

I stepped closer and folded my arms around his torso, burying my face in his chest. "Penny?" He asked unsurely.

"Hold me, please Talon. I... I just need a hug."

Slowly he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer into his chest.

"I don't know what to think, Talon."

"Then don't think, Penny. Just... embrace it. Don't think about the world, don't think about the future, just think of this. Being right here right now, in my arms."

We stood like that for what seemed like ages.

"Do you want me to take you home?" He asked softly. I nodded. He picked me up bridal style, much to my surprise, then shot into the air at a terrifying speed. Now it was his turn to give me a scary ride.

Naturally I screamed at the top of my lungs. After Talon repeated yelled "It's okay! It's okay!" I finally calmed down.

Until he did a fucking somersault!

I almost suffocated him with the force I held him. I don't know how fast he went until we arrived, because I kept my eyes squeezed shut for the remain of the journey.

He dropped me off at my balcony and I promptly greeted him before sprinting inside to get away from the heights.

Talon:

Whoops.
