The holistic detective

I've been hanging around the Ridgely recently, scoping out the area, asking the landlord about the history of the building. Very interesting actually, maybe I'll tell you about it later.

I came across a very interesting man today. Very important too. His name is Dirk Gently. We have loads in common. We both have the same jacket, the yellow leather one. We're both holistic detectives. In case you didn't know, holistic is the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. We go where the universe takes us. And we're both British.

MEETING DIRK

        After I had talked to the landlord, I was walking back to the apartment building and ran into a man.
"Oh sorry, didn't see you there" I honestly didn't see him, I was too busy looking at the Ridgely. It seemed he was too.

"No I'm sorry, I wasn't looking either!" I took my eyes away from the building and saw him looking at me, intrigued.

"Oh hey look! We have the same jackets!" I said pointing at my jacket then to his. He smiled at me knowingly. "I knew i felt like going on a walk for a reason! The universe led me to you!"

I smiled widely at the strange man. "This is not a coincidence! Everything is connected!" The man smiled even wider, if that's possible. "Finally! I've found someone like me! I'm Dirk Gently, and your now my best friend!"

        "This is the best day ever! I'm
Y/N and I'll gladly be your best friend"

        We talked for the rest of the day. Turned out he was looking for an apartment too and was thinking of getting one at The Ridgely. Lucky me. Finally, after all this pain, I've finally got a friend. It can only get better from here.
