"get in". hoseok said once he parked the car right beside the male, who sat himself down in the front seat. the fiery male was frowning slightly, the traces of his usual grin not to be seen.
"thanks". taehyung muttered, his husky voice down an octave almost blending in with the soft purr of the red convertible. uncomfortable silence hung between both of them, neither willing to speak and cut the heavy tension.
hoseok drove slowly, hoping for his friend to speak up. he kept one eye on his gloomy friend and other on the empty road.
the uncomfortable atmosphere was growing, making him drop his lively smile. he turned to look at taehyung once more. in a worn out size too large t-shirt, loose sweats and brown sandals he looked pitiful and saddening reminder of the sweet guy he knew. his fiery hair was messy, his lidded eyes droopy and the mouth tightened into a frown. hoseok had wondered about the timing, after all calking him to pick him up at four in the morning was quite peculiar. especially when he didn't smell orlook drunk. taehyung looked tired, just verytired and given up.
andwhywaswanderingaroundhere? all the shops were closed, and the streetlights were the only way of illumination in the stormy night. it was going to rain soon, in heavy pelting showers and the homeless were gathering around any shade they could find.
"where do you want me to drop you off, tae?"
the male looked up but only slightly that his maroon fringe covered his dark pools of sadness from hoseok. "can i crash at your place? i can't disturb jiminie from their sleep".
"okay". he answered, his voice matching taehyung's low octave. he spared another glance at the male before he started to drive towards his shared apartment in gangnam. he wanted to question the time, the place, him. but he was hesitant. he didn't want his friend to push him off, when he was just getting to know him better. just when the ache in his heart was starting to grow. but he was curious. he hadto question it. "do you wanna talk about it?"
his question was hesitant, knowing how hard it was to talk. him and yoongi were great examples of that. although yoongs had come a long way from the broken boy he once knew in daegu, he was still the anger driven male of the streets. and although he seemed rather open about his feelings, he was the one who his his true feelings under the facade of another.
taehyung was reminding him of himself. and he hated it.
moon shone its milky rays through the window, making taehyung look like a haunting prolecion doll with a angular features. the redhead shook his head, looking forward with a stoic, blank features , his eyes sunken.
the silence hung between them like a shroud, something he wanted to separate and even though his heart was aching he forced a sweet smile on his face. "i should warn you beforehand taetae that my roommate looks like a fucking zombie so don't get frightened off by him".
he nodded. and hoseok frowned.
what was bothering the handsome male was eating him alive. and even though he wasn't commenting on it he noticed that the male kept silent throughout the ride not even noticing the bright serene lights of gangnam lighting his way. and that his friend had a face fit for a king.
