His dad hugged him. "I promise I won't drink anymore and we are going to get you someone who can help you with school and a therapist and everything you need to feel back to your regular state." His dad said. His dad was a drunk. That was probably why he had said I had no idea what his home life was like. Of course, I didn't know exactly what his dad was doing, but he definitely wasn't there for him.
"You stopped him from taking his life? What happened?" My dad asked.
"This young woman took it upon herself to take on the bully well getting this boy to safety it seems, but it also seems that this boy seems to think it was she trying to get him to jump. When we asked his side of the story is was the exact same to the finer details but the roles were reversed. Only the endings were different. This young woman said she pushed Jay to the side and pulled S/o up and Jay said she pushed him to the side to get him to fall." Jim said. My jaw dropped. Wait for a second here? I wasn't going to get blamed for what Jay did, was I? If I did Jay was going to die then there would be a reason for me getting in trouble with the law.
"But." I shut my mouth, arguing with an officer could actually get me arrested.
"She is a liar. I would never hurt him. He is my friend. She tried to get him to jump." Jay yelled. I felt my hot-headedness start to rise but my parents said what was on my mind.
"How dare you? You low life..."
"Our daughter would never risk the lives of others for no apparent reason. Especially someone with a condition the exact same as her sister." My parents yelled interrupting me. I was glad for it because I had a couple choice words for Jay that would not be appropriate to say in front of a cop. But then again I had tried to throw a vase at him an hour ago.
"Please if you do not stop we will have to ask you to leave." The officer said.
"So you think my innocent boy is the one who did it?" Jay's mother yelled. She never liked me because I didn't like her son. "She doesn't like my son, she could be out to get him. Arrest her not my son." She demanded. Jay's father agreed.
"We have to wait for the victim to be ready to talk his side of the story. Also, there are some lab results going on to see if Jay's system has weed in it. He already tested positive for alcohol. He was drunk under the legal drinking age so he will be staying here overnight either way. If he is innocent he will be let off with a warning. If not we will see if the family wants to press charges and he will also be in trouble for lying to an officer. If y/n has done it we will see if the family wants to press charges and she will be in trouble for lying to an officer." The officer said.
"Also the jail time for attempted murder since both are over age which is one hundred and seventy eight days in jail which is almost six months in jail." A younger officer said.
"I am sorry he is new. Watt, that's if the boy actually died, it was attempted and failed. Only pressing charges and fined." Jim corrected him.
"Of course we want to press charges against the boy." S/o's father yelled.
"Well we don't know for sure if it was the boy yet," Jim answered. My jaw dropped. Jay was giving S/o the death stare and he shivered. "Criminal records, of course, will need to be updated." Jim nodded.
"S/o can you tell us the truth. Come into the office we want your side of the story." Jim said. S/o looked at Jay who didn't stop glaring at him. There was a chance S/o would lie so Jay wouldn't try to kill him again.
"Y/n you didn't try to kill the boy." My father asked. I shook my head aggressively.
"I would never think about it," I said quickly. "Let alone try it."
