"We already talked about it, didn't we?" After I showered and changed my clothes because I got drenched in rain, I immediately went to Dada's office.
"We argued about it Dada. We didn't talk about it." I am sitting on the chair in front of Dada's table. He is sitting on his throne and looking at the papers he was holding. "You knew that I don't need a bodyguard. Lalo na kung walang respeto sa akin." I hope this time he will take my side.
"What is it this time, Rebecca?" He sighed. "Halos araw-araw ka ng nag re-reklamo sa kaisa-isahang bodyguard na tumagal sayo." He said before putting down some papers he was reading earlier.
"That's it! I always complain and yet you still don't listen to me." Naiirita kong sagot.
It's been two months since that bodyguard started working with us. And until now, I still want one thing to happen. I want him to get fired!
"I won't pull him out as your bodyguard just because of your useless complaints about him." He answered emphatically while frowning at me.
"Dada, he left me in the middle of nowhere and let me get drenched in rain. Isn't that enough to fire him?" I was even more annoyed when I remembered what happened to me earlier and why I came home drenched in rain.
We are in front of the Alfonso's mansion. Antonio Alfonso, the owner of this mansion was the former mayor of the town of Kampilan. As far as I know, the town of Kampilan is known for making pottery. This is also the main business of them.
"Hello, Hija. Good evening to you." His wife, Sonia Alfonso, greeted me with a smile. I didn't notice na nasa harapan na namin sila dahil sa pagtitig ko sa mansion nila.As an architect, I have a habit of inspecting every house I enter. And I can say that their architect is a great one. For sure, they spent a lot of money while building this mansion.
"Good evening too, Tito, Tita." Tipid kong pag ngiti. In fact, I wasn't really close to them. Mi only forced me to join them for an early dinner. It was said that Tito Antonio had invited Dada.
"Come on. We have prepared a lot of foods for you." Tito Antonio said.
"Thank you for bothering, kumpadre." Mi answered before we finally entered. Tito Antonio was right. They prepared a lot of food for us. Even if we feed the bodyguards who are with us, we still won't finish what they prepared.
"How about you, Hija?" Tita Sonia asked me as we continued to eat. "You're an archi right? So where are you working now?" She asked with a smile. I was about to speak ngunit naunahan akong magsalita ni Dada.
"She don't have a job. Mas gusto niyang gumimik at magliwaliw na lang. Such a disap--" Sumingit si Mi kaya hindi natapos ni Dada ang mga salitang maaaring makapagpahiya sa akin.
"She just graduated so she take her rest before working, Sonia." Pag ligtas ni Mi sa akin sa kahihiyan. I remained silent as if I couldn't swallow what I was eating because of what Dada said.
"I see. If you need my help, don't hesitate to come to me." Tito Antonio answered.
"Thanks, Tito." I sighed and tried to smile at the old man.
