When we got home I ran inside. "GUESS WHO'S ENGAGED!!" I screamed and held out my hand.

Everybody in the room laughed. "Like we didn't know that already." Mike said. "He's had this planned for awhile now, Carm."

I blushed when Tony walked into the room and took my hand.

"Well, sorry for being so excited then." I smiled.

My mom came over and looked at the ring. "You picked a very beautiful ring, Tony."

"Of course, I had to pick the best for my lady." He said as he leaned down to kiss me.

Mom frowned. "No honeymoon acts... yet!"

She always had a way of turning a romantic moment into something completely awkward.

"Okay! This calls for some celebration!" Mike grabbed his keys. "Guys, we're going out tonight!"

"No." I shook my head. "I'm staying in with my fiance... as long as he wants to stay in."

"Of course, dear." Tony smiled and walked toward the door. "Shall we go?"

As we were leaving of course, my brothers were yelling at us for not being 'fun'.

I couldn't be any happier now, though. I'm engaged to my bestfriend, even though we've had a few rough patches, I still love him to pieces.

"So, Carmen Perry does have a nice ring to it doesn't it?" Tony grinned and took my hand as he drove.

"It definetely does, a very nice ring."

That night we just laid around and watched some movies. It was nice not to have to worry about who Tony was with that night, when now he'll forever be with me.
