-Tony
We were leaving again for tour soon, and I felt horrible having to leave Carmen by herself again.
“Tony, would you mind having Steph come hangout with me while you’re gone?” Carmen asked sitting up on the bed.
I looked at her for a few minutes, I hadn’t talked to Stephanie since we broke up a few months ago. But I needed to make Carmen happy. “I-I guess so..” I trailed off while grabbing for my phone. I knew her number by heart still, since I dated her for 3 years. Carmen smiled at me as I dialed it.
“Hey..” I said softly.
“Tony?” Stephanie asked.
“Uh, yeah. Can you do me a huge favor?”
She paused. “I- why should I Tony.”
I knew this was coming to this. “Because Stephanie. Carmen wants you to come hangout with her while we’re on tour. Please.”
“Oh, It’s for Carm?! Okay. I’m down. Your place, right?”
“Mhmm. I leave tomorrow, so. Be here tomorrow morning. Okay?”
“Okay. Goodbye Tony.”
I hung up the phone as quickly as I could. I missed Stephanie, But I also didn’t at the same time.
-Carmen.
I was a little upset that Tony was leaving tomorrow, but not so much at the same time. This gave me time to recover over him and hopefully move on.
I plopped down on the couch next to him. “What time is my steph steph coming?” I asked excitedly.
“Tomorrow morining.” Tony said bluntly.
I looked at him and pushed his shoulder. “Cheer up!”
He smiled at me. “Why?”
“Because you’re my bestfriend and I love you lots.” I cringed at the word love. But I really did love him, as a bestfriend. That other ship sailed a while ago.
“Well, since it’s my job to protect you and make you happy, I shall be happy too.” He smiled and hugged me. How had I gotten so lucky to have him as a bestfriend.
Helping Tony pack was the funniest thing ever, everything had to be perfect before he could leave.
“Here!” I said throwing one of his hats at him.
“Hey! That’s my hat you butt!” He laughed catching it.
“Oh shush.” I giggled and threw more stuff at him.
After getting packed I headed up to his extra room and crashed. I thought it’d be awkward just going and sleeping in his bed. I heard him talking on the phone with Mike and was laughing, they were interesting to listen to.
I fell asleep fairly quickly.
I woke up in the middle of the night freaking out over a thunderstorm, go figure. These things have woke me up since I was 3. I laid in bed staring at the ceiling trying to calm myself down, but it didn’t work. I threw on one of Tony’s Key Street hoodies and walked into his room.
Tony was sitting up in bed already. “The storm right?” He smiled.
I nodded and slipped into his bed where he was patting for me to lay. “Why are you still awake?” I asked.
“I dunno. Couldn’t sleep, too much on my mind, I guess.” He shrugged.
“Get some sleep, you have a big day tomorrow.”
“I know.” He smiled and put his arms around me.
I fell asleep once again, only this time not waking up constantly.
