"Please! Kabuto just let us go! She's in labor can't you see? She'll die if we don't hurry!" My father begged as I cradled my baby brother in my arms.
"Hmm, I don't see the point in trying to save her life. She is already very sick and the sickness will only spread further as the years go by," the man, Kabuto smirked as my mother grunted in obvious pain. "But I could make an exception."
"I'll do anything just please... let my wife live." The man who was supposed to be my father was desperate, very desperate.
"I want the boy." Kabuto stated very bluntly, the smirk never leaving his face.
"Yoshi? But he's only a year old!" My father screamed in denial as my mother whimpered.
"Not that one, the first born." I understood what this man wanted and I stared at the back of my father's head as I stood. The ground was cold to my bare feet as I began walking towards the stranger who wanted me, only stopping to give my father my baby brother.
"W-wait!" Kabuto ignored my father as he grabbed my arm when I was in reach.
"Take care of mommy and my baby sister and Yoshi too, dad!" I smiled as my eyes began to tear up.
"Kiyoko, that is your sister's name." Those were the last words I heard from my father before everything went black. What I didn't know is black was going to be the only true color I would see for a long time and the only closeness I would feel would be from cold metal shackles around my wrists.
