Guarding Tazuna had been boring up till this point. Bodies littered the bridge immediately causing the team distress as we surrounded Tazuna in a rush. Out of nowhere a heavy mist settles in, a very familiar one.
"Ahh Kakashi, sorry to have kept you waiting. I see you've still got those brats with you." Zabuza's voice filled the air making everyone tense as water clones appear out of thin air.
"Sasuke, go on." Kakashi states and Sasuke smirks before disposing of the clones in a flash.
"Looks like you have a rival, Haku." Zabuza stepped out of the mist along with the tracker ninja from before.
"I should've told you this before Kakashi, but I did put a tracker snake on Zabuza. I forgot about it though." I laughed awkwardly earning a glare from my teammates which is well earned since I could've saved us trouble in the long run. As Haku and Sasuke began to fight I almost instantly zoned out as I watched the two. Kakashi spoke while Sakura started fangirling again, but it all flew past me as I watched Sasuke finally get ahead of Haku and kicks him back shocking Zabuza.
"You shouldn't have called them brats. Insulting them is sure to bring out his attitude." I nodded at Kakashi's praise as I twirled my kunai.
"Thisss isss actually kinda boring." Sasayaki grumbled and I hummed in response.
"-Crystal ice mirrors!" My eyes widened as a dome of large ice mirrors formed around Sasuke and Haku, who quickly stepped within the mirrors creating multiple images of himself. Immediately springing action I gripped my kunai tightly before running towards the two in hopes of protecting my teammate.
"Not so fast!" A red blur entered my line of vision and I jumped back just as a sword landed just where I had been.
"Kosuke! What're you doing here you damn brat?!" Zabuza growled annoyed causing the red head to glare at him.
"Shut up ya old man! I'm hear to make sure your ugly ass doesn't mess up," Sasayaki was already aggravated with the new enemy's appearance as she tightened around my neck hissing. "Now sorry snowflake, but I can't letcha get past me." This Kosuke guy turned towards me and my eyebrow twitched slightly.
"Snowflake?" I mumbled staring at him blankly causing him to smirk.
"Yeah! Just came up with it! Like it? Oh come on it's not like you'll be around long enough to care!" I settled on an emotionless stare as he suddenly began running towards me swinging his sword at my feet causing me to jump in the air, him following behind in an instant. Blocking his sword with my kunai, we were at a stalemate as he sent me a cocky smirk causing my eye to twitch this time while Sasayaki settled on hissing.
"Oh so we gotta snake lover here. Maybe I could sell it's skin once this is over." Anger boiled within my stomach as I glared at the male.
"You won't touch her." My eyes began to sting as I took out a second shuriken and slashed it towards his face, cutting right under his eye before kicking him in the stomach, sending him crashing back to the bridge. Landing softly by Sakura, I took a chance to glance at her and she gasped upon looking at my eyes once again.
"Kami-!" I smiled once again at her repetitiveness.
"I'll explain everything once the mission is over." She nodded before her eyes went wide and I quickly brought up my kunai, successfully deflecting the sword that was now inches from my skull.
"Come on Snowflake there ain't no reason for you to be chattin it up like I ain't here!" Kosuke grunted as he jumped up and backwards to avoid the shuriken I aimed at his stomach.
"You're really beginning to annoy me." I stated as I followed after him slicing and throwing my kunai.
"Yeah so what! You're a huge pain in the ass! That snakeskin will sure be worth it though!" I growled in anger at his words and began focusing on Sasayaki as I eyed Kosuke's sword.
"Sasayaki! Venom's Blade!" Suddenly Sasayaki's weight left my neck and I was holding a glowing white katana. Almost forgetting I was in battle, I stared at the beautiful blade before I was almost knocked off my feet from a kick to the side. Tumbling to the side I quickly caught myself as I grabbed the katana tightly, blocking another strike from Kosuke's sword. Exchanging hit after hit, we eventually broke apart and noticed a sudden chill to the air and I turned just in time for Kakashi to begin his chidori. Before I knew it Sasayaki was back and I was sprinting towards Kakashi and Zabuza, leaving Kosuke behind. Just as Haku appeared in front of Zabuza, I jumped up onto Kakashi's arm, sending him off course before snatching Haku and moving to the edge of the bridge, immediately summoning a dark blue snake with white spots that bit Haku, sending him into a deep sleep. Looking around I noticed Naruto yelling about Haku giving his life up for Zabuza and Kosuke has disappeared leaving me almost angry for not continuing our fight. Suddenly I noticed Sasuke's body lying on the bridge, lifeless and I quickly made my way over to him, summoning a green snake on the way. When I reached him, I placed the snake on his neck and let it bite him in order for the healing to begin.
"Kami! What are you doing?!" I looked up just in time for Sakura to smack me across the face sending me flat on my butt as I cradled my now stinging cheek. Deciding not to answer I watched as the snake finished dispersing it's healing chakra throughout Sasuke's body before disappearing while Sakura leaned on Sasuke's chest crying. All the villagers turned up to chase away Gato's gang who was planning on ransacking the village and I missed all of it because I was too busy in my own little world with a pained cheek.
"Sakura, it's kinda hard to breathe with you on my chest." Sasuke piped up as I stared at the scene in a daze.
"B-but you were dead! A-And Kami- the snake!" Sakura babbled as I frowned.
"It was a green snake Sakura... it was healing him." I stated calmly as I pushed myself off the ground and moved away from my teammates to calm an angry Sasayaki down.
"LET ME AT HER KAMI! I'LL MAKE SURE SHE'S HOSPITALIZED FOR WEEKS!" The snake yelled causing me to laugh as I petted her to calm her down.
"Alright, good job team. Kami, I expect an explanation for your eyes later." Kakashi stated and I nodded in response.
"I understand fully Kakashi-sensei. Oh and Haku is only sleeping and I have a snake healing Zabuza by the way." I answered, not bothering to look back and notice a guilty looking Sakura.
