Strange Happenings

Like the day before, Soleil came in to hang out with me. She always does. But I guess it's fine. I could always use some company other than Emi, Kon, and Mina. She had a more serious expression on her face this time though. "What's up Soleil? You seems serious, and that hardly ever happens." I asked her. "Well, Toshiki is calling in a meeting. Everyone has to attend." She said. "Is that all? He's probably using it as an excuse to see me again. Well, forget it. I'm done with him." I say. "No, this is serious. Our Shares are dropping at a rapid rate. You can't say you're unaffected." She says. "I am." I say. "Not possible! Every nation's Shares have been dropping! Show me!" She demands. I nod, and lead her to the Sharcite. It was exactly the same as it was last I checked on it, which was just yesterday. "No way... Nina, you have to come to the meeting now!" She pleads. "I dunno..." I was still a little skeptical. "Need proof huh? Here." She showed me two shots of her own Sharcite. One was shining brighter than the other. "This is the before," she points to the left one. "and this is the after." She points to the right one. "Huh. You're right...this does seem serious." I say, and sigh. "Fine. Let's get going." I groan, and transform. "Uh...Nina...?" Soleil stared at me. "What?" I asked. "I can't transform. It took all of my Shares to get here." She told me. I sigh again, and pick her up, flying out to Planeptune.

Arriving at Planeptune, I place Soleil down and land myself. Luna and Toshiki were already waiting for us. "Nina. Glad you could make it." Toshi said to me. "Cut the crap. Was this just a prank? Just an excuse to see me?" I asked. "No, unfortunately. Bet you wish it was, huh? Anyway, down to business. Luna, if you please." He said. "Yes. If Soleil hasn't told you already, mine, Toshi's, and Soleil's Shares have been dropping. The question is, are yours?" She asked. "No. My Shares have been untouched. As for the reason, I'm not so sure why." I tell her. "Strange. Out of all of us, you'd expect Soleil to be the untouched one. I mean, she's so cute." Luna said, and hugged her sister. "Yes..." I agree silently. Toshi wouldn't stop staring at me, so I spoke up. "Stop staring." I demand. "R-Right...sorry." He says, and looks away. "Ugh... Anyway, do any of you have a plan to deal with this? Or are we just wasting our time?" I asked. "Well, no, we have no plan. But-" "Then I'm taking charge. First, we lead an investigation. Toshiki, you try and find the culprit through the internet, since your better at that stuff than I am. Luna and Soleil, do whatever you want. I'm going back to Lowee to see if I can learn anything at all." I say, and leave. "H-Hey! Nina wait!" I heard Toshi call me, but I ignored him and flew off. I sigh. "Geez... I was a nervous wreck in there. Why does he still have that effect on me...?" I groan, and pick up speed.

Once I get back home, I see Emi playing with one of her friends. Soleil's younger brother, Taiyo. The two are really close friends, almost inseparable. "Hey you two. What are you doing?" I asked. "Oh, Miss Nina. I was just role playing with Emi. Is big sis with you?" He asked. "Uh...oops..." I say to myself. "Sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to fly her back." I said. "Oh, it's okay. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure she'll let me stay over." He says. "Yeah. She's a great sister." I say, and pet his head. "I think I'm gonna take a nap. That meeting took a lot out of me..." I yawn, and walk to my room. Once I close the door, I plop down on my bed. Kon appears in front of me, sits on the bed. "Is everything okay?" She asked me. "Yeah... Just tired." I groan. "Would you like me to leave you alone?" She asked. "Actually..." I speak up, and pull Kon closer to me. "N-N-Nina...?! What is it?" She asked me, very much surprised. But, I wasn't listening, as I passed out. "Sleep well." She whispered, and I could feel her hand stroke my head.
