So, I wanted to explain the kingdoms in a little more depth than it's easy to in story form.
For now, I suppose the best way I can describe the fashion, culture, government, and geography of the kingdoms is:

government: Holy Roman Empire; typical absolute monarchy, aristocracy based on plutocracy
geography: Italy
culture: Inspired by that of Renaissance Italy, Yoheim's culture revolves around the classic high, middle, lower class system with kings and aristocrats and beggars. Knights, merchants, squires, housewives. It's all very Middle Age too. But some of the differences from then come in the knowledge in terms of medicine and science which came from enlightenment movements in Alksber to the south, their strongest ally. Though Alksber is quite liberal, Yoheim stands firm in its more conservative views, though not as intense as Nashali.
fashion: Renaissance fantasy/light 1700s fashion trends. formal- elegant ballgowns (women) justacorps-waistcoats (with dress shirt underneath if sleeveless), long black pants, riding-styled boots, long coats (men) informal- loose cotton shirts and shorts (men) peasant blouses with long skirts (women)

geography: Athenian architecture with Renaissance influence. north- natural French-like landscapes south- Iceland-like landscapes with sunny skies and expansive, massive forests, breathtaking waterfalls, mountains, and valleys throughout wherever the cities do not lay.
culture: Focused completely on progress and innovation, Alksber is the revolutionary center of the world for medicine and technology.A very liberal society with laws already legalizing biracial marriage as well as granting women's representation and allowing homosexual relations--though not marriage quite yet--they're already so far ahead of the other game that the other nations cannot possibly hope to catch up. (influence: Enlightenment Renaissance and Ancient Greece meets Victorian London? Basically, the society and architecture and devotion to philosophy are influenced around Ancient Athens and Enlightenment Era aspects--ideology, goals of knowledge and and progress, etc--but the fashion and attitude of the people in sophistication and intelligence level are very Victorian to modern.)
