I finally did it, I finally changed "Servitude" to "Servienne" OTL
At first, it had to do with the fact that a review on my book on forums told me that by calling it "Servitude", I was giving a different image to the story than intended, and that was, well, not my intention. Servienne had been my plan to title to sequel, but after a lot of thinking, I realized that the term "servienne"--while the meaning and the connotations won't be revealed until the end of the book--was a vital term and what the story circled around. "Servitude" might have made more sense to new readers, but the idea of the meaning of the title unraveling as the story went on was appealing to me, and that's mostly why we're here. It fits, it gives a different image to the book, it adds mystery, it's unique as I made up the term, and it has depth to it unbeknownst to you all now, but I can't wait until it's revealed, I've been holding back on just spitting it out. Let's just say, it's not good. So, "Servienne". I think I'm stickin' with it.
