The Empress

Vince’s POV

I stayed up all night, well, more of, I stayed up until the break of dawn hanggang sa makatulog na si Devane. It was not my intention to hurt her. Nagpadala lang siguro ako sa galit ko nang malaman ko kung sino-sinong WS agents ang tumutugis sa akin. When it came to me, it was like fireballs raining from the sky. Hindi lang isa kasi kundi dalawa pa talaga sila. Sina Jenika Narrine Martinez, my ex-girlfriend at Vynix Laurel Monteverde, my sister.

 Hindi naipakita ni Jaira sa buong team ang listahan  ng mga taong involved sa pag-target sa akin ng WS agents dahil hindi binigay ni Rick kay Jaira ang disk. Before he left, he slip it through the folder that was in front of me.

Halo-halong emosyon ang naramdaman ko but I tried to contain them all. However, Devane avoided me. And that is even worse because now, she’s all I got. I was furious because hindi niya ako pinapansin but then an idea struck me. I wanted Devane out of this team. Even though ako ang target, gusto ko siyang protektahan dahil siya na lang ngayon ang natitira sa akin. At kailangan ko ring malaman kung bakit nagawa nina Jenna at Vyrel na kumampi sa WS? Didn’t Vyrel know that WS is behind the death of my parents? Maraming tanong ang nasa isip ko ngayon at lahat ng ‘yun ay di ko mahanapan ng sagot.

Lumabas na ako sa kwarto ni Devane. And to my surprise, Rick was standing outside as if waiting for someone. When he looked at my direction, he started walking towards me.

“What are you doing here? Your room isn’t on this floor,” I asked.

He just looked at me na para bang binabasa niya kung ano man ang nasa isip ko.“Don’t bother asking obvious questions,”sagot niya sa tanong ko. “Follow me.” Before I could even give a reply, wala na siya sa paningin ko dahil nilagpasan na ako nito at nagtungo papuntang elevator kaya sinundan ko na lang siya.

“So, what’ll you do?” Rick asked me, breaking the deafening silence between us.

“I don’t know. I really don’t know what to do,”sagot ko sa kanya.

Nang bumukas na ang elevator, nauna siyang lumabas, “Everything is seriously getting so complicated.” Then, he guided me towards a room wherein she waits, The Empress.

Vixen Dianne Cyder or The Empress, her title, she is one of the founding members of ACZ. She doesn’t give out orders but when she speaks and decides, it is final, even the council couldn’t go against her. The Empress ag tawag sa kanya ng lahat at piling tao rin lang ang nakakaalam ng kanyang pangalan. Because if everyone knows, it might lead sa paghukay ng kanyang nakaraan.

Nang makita niya kami ni Rick na kakapasok lang ay agad siyang tumayo and then he gave Rick, a hug. Rick is her nephew. It was kept secret from the public. Only a few knew about this and I discovered this truth when I was put as a spy sa WS. A spy. You read it right. And that’s the reason why am I targeted now. I was put as a spy when I am still in the academy. I was a spy but I never knew that Jenna and Vyrel were also there dahil na rin siguro iba ang division na pinasukan ko, it was ZX, the division for agents who works solo or as a one-man team.

Back to the subject, marami talagang tinatagong sikreto ang ACZ especially sa family relations. Kasi kapag nalaman ng publiko kung anong meron sa history ng ACZ at WS, mawawala ang tiwalang binigay ng public sa ACZ. Maybe you are wondering why. Recently ko lang rin naman kasi nalaman ang mga ito nang makabalik na ako as ACZ. They told me the truth because of what I have stumbled when I was a spy in WS. May mga details kasi akong nakuha na nagpagulo ng isipan ko. Alam ng lahat na ang founder ng WS ay isang Kinsman but what they do not know is that Kinsman is also a part of ACZ at kapatid ‘yon ng Empress. Her full name is Vixen Dianne Kinsman-Cyder.
