A Deadly Attraction

Part 11

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I woke up, feeling groggy and soar everywhere. I opened my eyes to see Neji resting hid forehead against mine, fast asleep. I felt my cheeks grow warm as a smile crept up across my face.

"Now how am I supposed to get up without waking you up?" I said quietly out loud.

"You're Not." Said Neji. His head slowly popped up and he looked around the room.

"What time is it?" He asked.

"How am I supposed to know? I've only been up for like, a minute more than you." I went to sit up but had a large coughing fit. I rolled over and groaned as every muscle in my body hurt. 

"Be careful, you're still sick. You don't want to over exert yourself." Neji said. He stood up and left the room.

"Well then, what am I supposed to do now?" I asked to no one in particular. I looked down and had noticed that I was wearing the same cloths from when everyone went out. I ever so carefully sat upright and tried to stand. I was a bit wobbly, catching myself on the side table before standing up straight. I made my way over to my closet and proceeded to put on a new and clean outfit. I stepped out and slowly made my way back to the bed.

"Turns out it's 6 am- (Y/N), what did I just tell you?" Said Neji in a stern tone.

"I don't know, I wasn't paying attention." I said in a playful tone. He sighed and walked up next to me.

"You need to be careful. You are still sick and need time to recover."

"Psh, I'm fine." I said jokingly. Neji face held a blank expression as he handed me a cup.

"Here drink this."

"What is it?" I said looking into the cup.

"Some Jack-In-the-pulpit tea. It'll help get rid of the rest of the toxin." I shrugged and drank half the glass, Immediately regretting it.

"Oh god Neji, who made this?" I said, putting the cup on the nightstand

"I did, none of the servants were up." He said with a completely neutral tone.

"Man, You need a lesson on how to make tea because that is total crap." I said with a small chuckle.

"It may note taste good, but it does what it needs to."

"Well well, Isn't it nice seeing you two getting along. " Said a familiar someone at the door to my room.

"Elder, what are you doing here?" I asked, quickly putting my joking tone aside.

"I came to check on you and see how you were doing."

"Oh, I'm doing fine."

"No you're not. You need more rest." Neji said. Why is he so protective? I mean, It's kinds cute, but why?

"Really?" The elder said, taking a few steps closer.

"No, Elder, I'm fine. Some Ice water and I'll be as good as new." I said, reassuring her with a grin.

"Good, because we're heading out today."

"What?" Neji and I both said practicality on sync.

"Today we are leaving the Hyuga household. I believe it will be better for the Hyugas and us if we leave, so we don't endanger either of anymore than needed. We'll leave as soon as your ready." Elder Aie gave a weak smile and left the small room.

"Well isn't that just dandy." I sad sarcastically, standing up and beginning to gather my things. Neji just stood there in silence as I slowly put all my stuff into my small bag. Soon the entire room was emptied and it was now just me and Neji.

"So... It was nice knowing you. I'm sure the elder has good int-" I was immediately cut off by Neji's lips crashing into mine as his arm snaked around my waste. I stood there, shocked for a second, but then kissed back. We slightly drew back and he looked down at me. 

"You better come back to visit some time soon, or else I just wasted that kiss." He said with a smirk. I laughed softly and turned to leave.

"I will come back, I can promise you that." I said. I waved him a small goodby and left with the rest of my clan.

"Elder, why did we have to leave so early?" Complained one of the members.

"So that way we wouldn't disturb anyone on our way out of town." She said with a gentle smile. We reached the gates off Konohagakure, waved the gaurds a goodby, and continued down the road.

"Where will we go now?" Asked someone.

"Well, there is a small town about a days walk south of here we can re-"

"Elder look out!" I yelled, shoving her out off the way of a large net,

"W-whats happening?" I heard someone cry out. Soon there was a large grey fog that covered everything.

"If anyone can hear me, Follow the sound of my Voice. We can all join together and -Nngg" I yelled out, feeling something heavy strike me from behind. I fought, trying to stay awake, slumming against our now broken carriage, unwrapping both my hands. One of the younger members cried out in panic and I lunged forward. I caught a stranger off guard and held my hands to his bare skin until he fell down.

"Are you ok?" I asked the child.

"B-behi-" Before the kid could Finnish, I whipped around and held onto the arm of the person behind me, unrolling their sleeve and holding on for dear life.

"Get her off! Get her off! Get her o-" I felt the person topple to the ground and soon followed, being completely exhausted. I saw the attackers in a bright orange and green robe, before caving in and passing out.

Neji's P.O.V.

I sat there in (Y/N)'s empty room, scooping up the blankets that still smelt like her, bringing them to the laundry room. I heard pounding footsteps from across the hall and looked up just in time to see one of the servants out of breath and sprinting down the hallway.

"M-Master Neji. *Huff* T-the Yudoku's, they were, were ransacked and-" I froze, I felt my arms go slack as the blankets fell from my hands. Before I had even thought about it, I was already sprinting out the hallway and down the road. I passed the gates of Konohagakure to see a broken carriage, and roughly 10 of the Yudoku clan's members either unconscious or being helped by other ninjas. Slummed up against one of the carriage wheeled was the elder, bleeding from her temple.

"Elder Aie, DO you know where (Y/N) is?" I asked panicked.

"She put up a good fight." She said weakly pointing towards the two almost mummified bodies. They were wearing some form of brightly colored uniform and were completely singed. 

"Sir, their uniforms seem to match those of the group that had attacked the Yudokus yesterday, said a ninja. 

I sat down, I had to. (Y/N) was still weak from getting shot yesterday, and was now kidnapped." I felt a soft hand on my shoulder, ans looked up to see Hinata's pained expression.

"I-It's ok Neji, W-We'll find her." God I hope so...
