I walked out the bathroom door and headed toward the lunch room. As I walked down the hall, I tried to put put my hand on my cheek so no one could see the bruise or the starting of one. My skin felt raw and a little rough. And it still hurt really bad. Plus it had a bad burning feeling. As if the girls fist and my cheek had a friction battle. Maybe if I got somewhere quiet I could use my frost to cool it down. I walked a little slower and looked around me. The hallway was kinda empty, except for a few people hurrying to get to the lunch room. I slowed to a stop.

Once the hall was completely empty, I turned around and headed to a stairs that went down. I ran down them and jumped the lasts couple steps. I looked around. The hallway was completely empty, except for the lockers (duh). I listened closely. All I heard was the sound of distant class rooms. I turned to the bottom of the stairs and found a little pocket of space where I could sit and have a little alone time. This is where I can do it. I stopped there and glanced around one more time. There's no such thing as being "too" careful.

I sat in the dark and sighed. And was reminded of the sore spot on my cheek, as pain welled up from it. I winced a little. The sooner I do this. (cue stomach growling noises) The sooner I can go get food

I sighed and cleared my mind. I closed my eye and tried to focus my energy on the spot. I spread my palm on my cheek.

There was a slight tingly feeling in my hand. Then I felt my normal body heat (or chill) drop even more. All of a sudden I couldn't breathe, as if my lungs had closed. Pain shot through my chest. I gasp and saw the icy smoke of my breath.

Then it stopped. I sighed and rubbed my cheek again. It still felt raw to my touch but I didn't feel anymore pain. Satisfied, I stood up and ran up the stairs. Then i kept running till i got to the lunch room.
