Chapter 24

Peter woke up earlier than the two adults.Being curled up in the middle he manage to crawl himself out of the tent with a mischevious smile on his face.He was set out to see those dragonflies in the field.

The intoxicating smell of fresh jasmine and the cozy ambience around the tent makes it seemingly impossible for Regina to get up.She moves closer and wraps her arms around who she thought was Peter.

Emma on the other hand was woken up with feeling of something snuggling her pretty tightly.She opened her eyes directly facing Regina,sleeping so peacefully,she even had a smile on her face.How can she manage to look so beautiful while I look like a century old troll when sleeping.While staring at her,Regina suddenly move with the tip of her nose pressed in between Emma's lips.Emma's heartbeat quickens making sure her mouth is sealed tightly.Carefully she tried to remove Regina's arms for her to face the other way but the brunette stirred and only scoot closer to her.😌Emma tries again, slowly she lifts her arms placing it on the other side.

"Look I caught a dragonfly!,I caught a dragonfly!"Peter squealed happily when he entered the tent.

"Shhh!kid someone's sleeping"Emma almost had a heart attack,good thing she was already standing when the kid enters.Peter made an oh expression, too late Regina groans,she's awake."What time is it?"she ask groggily.

"Don't worry about the time Ms. Mills,you can still go back to sleep"the brunette mumbled a few word then went back to sleep"I'll go and grab some coffee"then she gives Peter a warning"If you stay here don't bother her,got it?"he nodded hiding his goofy smile.When Emma was out of sight he started shaking Regina"Gina!Gina!"he repeatedly calls.He never stop until she opens her eyes.

"Okay,okay go to your Aunt Emma now I'll follow"If it's another person doing that Regina will surely throw a fit but it's Peter so she just laugh.He reminds her so much of her little prince,full of spirit and enthusiasm.

Regina approach Emma,the blonde's back is facing her"So Swan,what's the plan for today,the kid seems too excited"she cleared her throat trying to get Swan's attention.Emma's back immediately straightened.

"S-sorry 'bout that Ms. Mills,I told Peter to let you sleep a bit"she shrugged taking a sip of her coffee,If only Regina knows how tense Emma is right now"You know I've never seen him so clingy to someone he just knew,he's not even like that to Bex when we had a sleepover at her place"Emma says laughing still not facing Regina.

"That's because I'm good with kids so they just love me,it's the only logical explanation"Regina smiled

"Love!Really"Emma exclaimed and turn around with eyebrows creased but it has change to a surprise look when she saw what Regina is wearing.

"Why?,is there a problem?and excuse me you didn't tell me where we are going Ms. Swan so my choice of outfit is none of your business and it's not like I've never been to camping before"raising her eyebrows at Emma.

"No no,actually it's the total opposite,I'm just not used to seeing you wearing normal people's clothes eversince I saw you,you're always either wearing a dress or your business suit."Emma stands and walk towards Regina"you look great actually"Emma spoke as she pass by Regina"the latter blushed,it's the first time she heard a compliment from Emma."but I'm advising you not to wear jeans and your loafers they are gucci,I bet you might want a change"Regina's smile turned into a frown she suddenly felt irritated one moment Emma was complimenting her and now she's complaining about what she's wearing.

"Nah,I'm GREAT"Regina said emphasizing the adjective Emma used earlier.

"Kid be careful we don't want you going home with a broken arms and legs,your mom's gonna kill me"Emma shouted and then notice Regina glaring at her.
