Panicking and preparations

Marinette's POV:

"I can't believe this! I can't believe he likes me! Oh, Tikki! What should I do?!" She cried, dramatically flopping onto the bed. She groaned. "Calm down Marinette! Remember, you're dating Peter." Tikki said, trying to calm her holder down. "Marinette, do you have feelings for Chat now?" She asked finally. That caught Marinette by surprise, but she decided she would tell her. "Truth is Tikki, I don't know how I feel anymore. Chat, Adrien, or Peter. I just can't choose!" She muffled her groan in her pink pillow. Then she heard a small tap on the window. "Hide Tikki!" She whisper yelled. Nodding, the small kwami flew to hide in a small open drawer where she could see and hear everything without being seen by anyone. 

As soon as the kwami was out of sight, she opened the door that led to her balcony. As she had expected, a certain black cat emerged from her balcony, and into her home, his ears drooping. "Umm... Hey Mari." He said, kind of nervous. There was awkward silence as she realized he was expecting her to answer. "Oh! Um... Hey Chat. Sorry for what happened yesterday... I overreacted." She looked down, refusing to meet his eyes. 

She looked up to see him looking a little guilty. "No princess. It was my fault. I shouldn't have interrupted your date. I guess I should explain why I did it." He spoke as if he had been dreading those words.  She didn't understand why. 

He took a deep breath but before he could explain, there was a knock on the trap door. "Marinette! Your boyfriend is here! Do you want him to wait here until you're ready, or should we send him up to your room now?" Yelled her mom, Sabine. "Tell him to wait. I need to change mama!" She called back.  Chat breathed a sigh of relief. 

"Well, Princess. Looks like I better go. What I have to say can wait. You can't keep your...Boyfriend... Waiting." He spoke the word "Boyfriend" as if it were poison. He gave her a reassuring smile as if guessing that she wanted to hear what he was going to say to say, and then he ran u the steps, out the door, and jumped off her balcony. Sighing, she put on her small purse, Tikki flying into it, as she opened the door for Peter. 

Adrien's POV:

Adrien stood in front of Plagg, reciting the small script he had prepared on what he planned to say to Marinette. "...And I did what I did out of Jealousy, Princess. I did it because I love you. And I know it sounds kind of dumb because you don't know who I am. But, I love you Mari, and I always will." He finished. Plagg nodded. Ever since their last conversation on love, the little black kwami seemed more focused on something other than his precious Camembert. 

"It's great, kid. How about you transform and you try it now?" The little cat spoke. "What?! Plagg! No way am I going to do this now!" The blond boy cried. He had been panicking all night. "What if Mari doesn't want to hear it. What if she is still mad? What if she hates me forever?!" He ran down a full list of terrible things that might happen if he did it. 

Plagg, having a very short attention span, not to mention very little patience for those things, stopped him in the middle of his sentence. "Enough! Look, kid, It's now or never. If you don't do this now, your chance might be gone forever! Now, are we going to transform, or NOT!?" He yelled. "Sorry, Plagg. Alright, let's go." Adrien stated. Then he raised his fist, showing off his ring, and said the words that turned him into the superhero he adored being. "Plagg! Claws out!" The kwami spiraled into the ring, and just like that, Chat Noir appeared in Adrien's place. He jumped out the window.

Chat Noir was kind of glad that Peter stopped his confession. He really didn't feel like making a fool out of himself that night. But he still felt a little dread. He still loved her, even if she was dating Peter. As soon as he came across a small alley, he transformed back and sat down. "What was that kid?! I thought you were actually going to do it! But you just..."The little black cat stopped scolding him, as he noticed his holder had his head between his knees. He was shaking. "Kid? What's wrong?" He asked. He floated up to Adrien. Adrien began to cry, remembering that he had failed to follow Ladybug's advice and tell his princess he loved her. 

"Oh Plagg, what am I gonna do now?" He asked, helpless. The small black cat smile, then said, "Why don't you try again tomorrow? And don't think I don't remember that you haven't given me my cheese. Now move it! Give. Me. My. Cheese. Now." The little kwami whined. Adrien gave a small laugh before he finally handed the black kwami a full wheel of cheese.
