Adrien's POV:
Adrien hadn't noticed that he had been staring until Nino elbowed him in the side. He saw the look on Nino's face, something between a knowing look and a look of pity, shook him out of his trance. "Dude. You realize you're staring, right?" Adrien looked down. "Sorry, Nino." He muttered. Nino pat his back in a sort of consoling manner as he sighed. "You like her, don't you?" He asked. Adrien responded with "Can't hide anything from you, can I? You never realize what you have until it's out of your reach." Nino gave him a sheepish smile. Until a strange look crossed his features. "Hey, dude?"
Adrien looked at him, attentively so he could hear what his best friend had to say. "What's up?" He asked. Nino answered with a "Isn't it weird how Peter is new, and he almost immediately started dating Marinette?" He questioned. Adrien's eyes widened, realizing that Nino was right. He tilted his head before asking, "What about it?" His heart was racing as Nino responded. "I don't know... It's just, Marinette isn't the type to fall for some dude she just met. It's kinda like she's under some sort of spell." Adrien's eyes widened, as he looked at Marinette once more. At first glance, she appeared to be fine. But he looked closely before seeing something strange. Her eyes... they looked clouded, duller than what they usually looked like.
He turned to see Nino, being bumped into by Peter, who apologized as he made his way to his seat in the back. For a moment, Nino looked dazed, his eyes dulling before he turned to Adrien. "So, Nino, have you realized that Marinette's eyes are clouded over? It actually looks like she's being controlled." Nino suddenly laughed. "Dude, she's probably fine. Maybe it was love at first sight." Adrien seemed confused before realizing that Nino's eyes had also clouded over and he began to ramble to Adrien about a new DJ gig he had over the weekend. Weird... It's like he was put under some spell.
Peter's POV:
Peter listened to Nino's theory about him and he panicked, purposely making contact with him before silencing Nino's mind, convincing him that the idea was bad, replacing it with the idea of Love at first sight. Good. But How can I stop that Problem, Adrien... My hypnosis doesn't work on him. He thought. He had to complete his job. His purpose was to get Marinette akumatized, but if Adrien interfered, he would be removed. That was something he didn't want.
He walked to his seat, his hypnotic spell would remain on Marinette. All he needed was to completely have her enamored with him, and then he would hurt her. Once that was done, he would be allowed to leave and to be free. She promised it to him. So he would complete his mission and be released. That was all he wanted.
Marinette's POV:
Marinette had been incredibly happy with her boyfriend, almost forgetting what she felt about Chat Noir. Almost. Marinette found her mind wandering to the cheerful feline-themed hero, remembering the warm feeling in her chest whenever he smiled. She caught herself multiple times having to mentally scold herself and reminding herself that she already had an amazing boyfriend. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Tikki seemed to sense something she wasn't able to, often tensing up and looking around. Many times Marinette would ask what was wrong, but Tikki would dismiss it with a smile.
Marinette hadn't noticed that the class was over until she was received a peck on the cheek, turning her pale complexion into a strawberry red tone. "Hi there Mari!" Peter's cheerful voice spoke. She smiled at him as he held out his arm so they could walk together to the next class. She smiled at him accepting it generously and stood up, walking. Alya met up with the two and began rambling about her Ladyblog once more before Marinette heard, "I saw something AWESOME last night. It's proof that LadyNoir is starting to sail!"
Marinette stared, slightly curious, and kind of shocked. "What is it?" She asked. Alya shoved her phone into Marinette's face, demonstrating a picture of Ladybug hugging Chat Noir. The raven-haired girl should have known it was going to be seen. "Are you sure that wasn't photoshopped?" She asked, knowing full well it wasn't. Alya shook her head. "No, it's not! I took the photo from my balcony!" Marinette had to hand it to her best friend, she sure knew how to take pictures. She couldn't bother trying to convince Alya otherwise. She'd let her have it otherwise. The three entered their class, walking to their seats once more.
But as soon as she entered, Marinette felt someone's eyes on her, again. She turned around to see Adrien, staring intensely at her, as if he was thinking about something. She couldn't help it now. She blamed her good nature for this as she asked, "Adrien. Are you ok?"
