Marinette/Ladybug's POV:

As Ladybug swung from building to building at three in the morning, she tried her best to shake off the shock from the amount of Ladybug merchandise Adrien Agreste owned. It reminded her of herself before Peter's arrival. Adrien Agreste was a hopeless fanboy. She chuckled slightly as she remembered him blushing, turning so red it could rival the color of her suit. She finally arrived at her home, calling for Tikki to detransform her. Tikki flew out of the earrings and smiled at Marinette. "Adrien sure is nice! It's a good thing Chat brought you there!" She stated. Marinette chuckled, rolling her eyes as she got herself ready for bed ignoring the feeling of dread that weighed in her stomach. She quickly brushed her teeth before laying in her bed and closing her eyes and drifting to sleep. Big mistake.

Marinette opened her eyes in confusion, fully aware that it was only a dream. A familiar chuckle came from the nothingness of Marinette's dream as she looked around only to find a figure shrouded in darkness. "Who are you?" She asked, her voice sounding tinny and far away as if she were speaking through a tube. "Me?" The figure asked, venom dripping from every word he said. "That, my dear, is for me to know... and for you to find out." The figure began to cackle evilly as tendrils of darkness erupted from the ground tying themselves around her waist, ankles, wrists, and neck and pulling her into some sort of puppet-like structure. Marinette looked up to see Chat, walking on the rooftop.

She got a sudden idea, and she opened her mouth. "Hel-! Mmmph!" She cried, only to have herself gagged as she watched Chat jump away. She struggled to breathe as the cackling only became more evil, splitting into three other voices. Two males, one female. She looked to see Hawkmoth and Mayura standing before her, both on either side of the dark figure. "Hush now my little princess. You're going to wake up soon~." The figure of the boy taunted and walked away no leaving a trail of blue feathers in his path.

Marinette, for the first time in a long time, awoke early and in a cold sweat, her head pounding in sync with her heart. She was shaking in fear as she looked at her hands and then to the sleeping figure of her beloved Kwami. She leaned back shivering as she fought back a terrified sob. She sighed before she stood up, grabbing her clothes, and headed to the bathroom to shower and to change. Once all of those things were done she went back to her room to find Tikki waiting for her looking worried. "Marinette? Are you all alright? You look pale." Tikki floated over to her master as she examined Marinette, closely. "I'm fine Tikki! Don't worry about it, it was only a nightmare." The raven-haired girl said, waving dismissively. Tikki didn't look very convinced and said, "Maybe you can ask your parents to stay home! Remember that you should put your well being first." Marinette smiled before she pats Tikki's head. "Yeah. But if I miss any more classes, who knows what my parents or the school will do?" She said as she finished packing all of the school supplies that she needed for the school day.

She grabbed her small pink purse, adding some cookies for Tikki and some money for her school lunch before she headed downstairs to greet her parents. She kissed both of her parents' cheeks before she grabbed a croissant and told her parents that she had woken up because of a nightmare and that she could get back to sleep. Her parents looked at Marinette's pale face worriedly, but dismissed it, believing that she was still calming down after the nightmare. Boy, were they wrong.

Marinette walked to school, surprising both Peter and Alya with her early arrival. "Girl I thought you couldn't be on time! Hang on, let me check and see if the moon is gonna be blue tonight!" Marinette chuckled, once again ignoring her pounding headache as Peter chuckled. Marinette ignored the feeling of familiarity when she heard Peter's chuckle, feeling her head pound harder. "Mari, you alright?" Asked Peter, a look of concern written on his features. "What do you mean?" She asked, turning to see Alya's concerned face. "You just got super pale girl. You look like you're gonna pass out any second." Marinette simply forced a smile on her face before saying, "It's fine! Don't worry about me, I just... didn't get enough sleep last night." She said, giggling. Alya nodded as Peter gave her a soft smile. "You should try to get some sleep now then Mari, after all, the class doesn't start until 30 minutes. Alya and I will wake you when it's about to start."

Marinette smiled gratefully, feeling the familiar pull on her heart as she said. "I'm sure I'll survive the day. Don't worry guys! I'll get some sleep after school." Alya chuckled as the continued talking for another fifteen minutes as Alya rambled something about the Ladyblog while Peter would make random comments. Adrien had burst through the door by that time, making Nino, who had arrived not too long ago, laugh at his friend. The entire group continued talking until class started and the teacher began her lessons, Marinette slowly zoning out. It didn't take long until she was almost asleep for Chloe to make a snarky comment which resulted in Marinette being called out for sleeping in class. "Tell her to go to the principal's office Ms. Bustier! That'll teach her to not sleep in class!" Chloe's voice annoyed Marinette, which angered her enough to make her shout, "Will you SHUT UP!" Much louder than what she had intended.

From there, everything went downhill. "Marinette! That outburst was unacceptable! Go to the principal's office now and reflect!" Ms. Bustier said sternly. Marinette, remorseful and cranky stood up, causing her vision to swim slightly as she leaned heavily against her desk, holding her head to try and stop the room from spinning. However, due to the commotion of the class, Chloe's annoying taunting, and the teacher's speaking, it became too much for the Raven-Haired girl to bear as she felt her legs buckle as she began falling backward as her head made contact with the edge of the steps of the pathway in between the desks, a sticky warm liquid dripping from her head. Marinette looked at the blurry figures that called her name, her vision tainted yellow. Her eyelids felt heavy, so she closed her eyes and gave in to the desire to sleep.
