The Cat and the Kwami

Adrien/Chat's POV:

Chat cried out in shock as he watched Ladybug fall backward, catching her just before she hit her head. "LADYBUG! Please, what's wrong?" He cried. His memory flashed to his mother, how this used to happen to her too. "Please wake up!" His eyes threatened to overflow with tears as he panicked, rushing her to his home and quickly detransforming. He carefully set her limp body on his bed before he looked at Plagg who looked concerned.

"Kid, are you alright?" Considering what had just happened, Adrien was too terrified to be shocked that Plagg didn't ask for cheese. Plagg flew over, touching Ladybug's earring and he began to mutter. "Sugar cube... are you ok in there?" Plagg muttered with his eyes closed until he opened his eyes. The little black cat smirked in Adrien's direction before saying, "They're both alright. Your Ladybug's only in shock." He said. Adrien felt himself release a breath he hadn't known he was holding. "Thanks, Plagg."

Plagg flew over to him, giving him a tiny hug, "No problem kit- er, I mean kid." Adrien chuckled at his kwami's almost calling him a kitten. "Say, Adrien?" The Cat kwami asked. "Yes, Plagg?"Adrien replied. "Can I get my precious Camembert now? Cause I'm HUNGRY." Adrien chuckled at this before he pulled out a wheel of Camembert from the mini-fridge and presented the kwami with the cheese. Plagg took the cheese greedily, speaking to it happily and took bites of it. Adrien turned his attention back to Ladybug, whose earrings had begun to blink. I know I shouldn't, but I'm curious to know who she is... But that would break Ladybug's trust... "Ugh!" Adrien cried out in annoyance. Adrien stared at Ladybug's earrings as the spots lessened to only one spot. He then decided he would respect her privacy, and covered her in a blanket, placing a cool cloth over her eyes and rummaging through his drawers for one of his Ladybug cosplay masks.

He closed his eyes when he saw a brilliant flash of pink, signaling Ladybug's transformation had worn off. He was met with a tiny female groan, much too high-pitched to be Ladybug's. A black blur flew too close to his face as he heard Plagg offer some of his cheese to Ladybug's kwami, who he'd remembered from his time as Mr.Bug as Tikki. "Thanks, Plagg." She said, a relieved tone coming from her exhausted body. "I'll put the mask on your owner Sugar cube. You relax a little." Adrien turned around, keeping his eyes closed as he held out the mask for Plagg to take. As he felt it being lifted, he heard a "Thanks kid." from his kwami. After a while he heard Tikki, "You can open your eyes now Adrien! Thank you for not looking at Ladybug's identity. I'm sure she will appreciate it!" Tikki smiled softly at Adrien, as he carefully looked at the unconscious Heroine on his bed. "Don't worry. She should be awake in a few minutes!" She said. Adrien nodded, "No problem."

"Adrien... about what you told my owner..." Tikki said slowly. Adrien looked at her anxiously, waiting for the answer. "I believe that you're right." His eyes widened as he rushed toward the red kwami. "How do we show Ladybug though?" Plagg sat by Tikki, as she explained to him that Ladybug had encountered Peter before, and how she had felt some power coming off of Peter, and how Ladybug's behavior had changed. Adrien's eyes widened in shock. "So he's powerful... could he be some sort of Akuma?" He asked. Tikki shook her head. "No. that can't be it. Usually, Hawkmoth's akumas are flashy, their costumes and names usually tell us what power they have." She said.

Adrien, Plagg, and Tikki communicated, analyzing Peter, wondering what he might be. Just as Adrien was about to suggest something, Ladybug stirred, sitting up, her eyes still closed, giving Plagg enough time to fly into Adrien's Jacket. "What... happened?" She asked, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Where am... I?" She asked until her eyes landed on Adrien. She screeched in confusion, falling off of his bed. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I-!" She shut up once Adrien had placed his palm on her mouth. "I'm sorry. I'm Adrien, we've met before... um. Chat brought you here because he was about to transform back and this was the closest place. Please don't scream you'll wake up my father." He said quickly. Once he was sure Ladybug was calm, he removed his hand. "Sorry about that Adrien. I didn't mean to scream. I was caught off guard."

She giggled awkwardly, looking suspiciously like Marinette to Adrien. He shook the thought from his mind, as he told her that she had detransformed so he had covered her in a blanket so he didn't see her clothes, and that her Kwami had put a Ladybug mask on her face. Ladybug sighed in relief and similarly patted his hair to how Marinette would pet Chat's hair. He felt himself blush at the thought of his princess, reminding himself that he would visit her soon. "Adrien, could you turn around? I kind of have to transform and to do that, I have to take your mask off, so..." She said, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.

He nodded as he turned away, hearing the words "Tikki! Spots on!" and seeing a flash of pink light before he turned back to her. "There we go! Here's your mask back." Ladybug said, thanking him again and offering him the mask, which he took. "You should get some sleep, I'm sure you have school tomorrow." He nodded heading to the bathroom to change, not before he looked to see Ladybug fly out his window. He closed the door to his bathroom, sighing in relief. Until he realized. THE LADYBUG POSTERS WERE STILL UP.

Ok! That's the chapter! I hope you guys liked it! I'll try updating one more time this week before I have to go turn in my computer for the summer. Because the school wants to drag us back in August. Once I get back in August, I will be continuing this, so it's on a tiny Hiatus for now. I once again thank you all for reading my poor excuse for writing!

Hope you all are safe and alive! And so, I hope this chapter doesn't seem too rushed compared to the others, writing in a boy's POV is a lot harder than I initially expected, so I guess next chapter will mostly be Marinette's POV. Now, I once again thank you all, and I'll see you in two days with the next chapter!
