Growing up around a pack of wolves was a difficult task, especially when you weren't a Werewolf. I could say that it was a shock to me when I found out that my family could shape shift into a wolf whenever they wanted to but for as long as I could remember that was what seemed natural. My parents broke it to me gently that the reason why I couldn't shape shift like they did was because I was adopted. If by adopted they meant, someone left me out in the middle of the forest when I was a baby, than yeah I guess I was adopted. The pack was out running on that particular full moon and happened upon me. My father, the pack leader, told me that he couldn't leave me out there because he could smell that I was some sort of supernatural. The only thing is, is that we have yet to see what kind I am. Most supernatural's develop their powers by the age of sixteen or seventeen but I'm almost eighteen. There's no way of knowing when my birthday is exactly but it was a guesstimate.

It was hard keeping the pack together so we bought a large amount of land in Fort Bragg, California. The forest was a perfect place for a pack of Werewolves to stay hidden as well as connect with nature. On the land, the men in the pack built fifteen cabins that were filled with new families and old families that formed within the pack. My sister Catrina, myself, my mother, and my father lived in the house farthest from the road, which also had most of the land where the pack did their running.

As I grew up, my father noticed that I had a unique talent with animals. Said he'd always catch me playing with wild animals that roamed the forest. Ever since I was a young girl I could understand animals and feel what plants and trees felt, as if they had their own mind. Once, I had tried to tell my sister and she just looked at me funny. So it was my very own secret, to not disclose anything that might be considered weird to anyone in the pack, including my own family.

Since my family was pureblooded Werewolf, they had straight blonde hair and blue eyes. This only made me stand out from the rest of them more. My hair was curly and flaming red, like a fire truck. My eyes weren't just one color but many, near the pupils it seemed to radiate yellow rays that shot into the bright green of most of my eye color but the green faded into a dark blue ring. A lot of the pack members hated me, just because of the way I looked. The women in the pack were muscular and toned, slightly like how men are, so compared to my fragile looking body, I was their main competition. Where I lacked in muscles I made up for in breasts and arse. My breasts seemed an outcast when compared to the rest of my body, which was slim except for the curve of my hips leading to my nice toned buttocks. At least when I went to school I got a lot of male attention to make up for all the negative women attention I received on a daily basis. The only teenagers in the pack that I actually talked to were my sister, Quinton and Maxx. Quinton and Maxx lived in the house next to ours so they were almost always over. Maxx was only fifteen but his brother was twenty and I'm pretty sure Catrina has her eyes on him.

Today was going to be a slow day, I could already tell even though tonight was the full moon. Everyone in the house seemed to not be on auto pilot for once right when they woke up. Even though I was supposed to be celebrating my birthday tonight, I still didn't feel in the mood to celebrate. My head was pounding and everything seemed to be blurry instead of being solid. Instead of complaining about it I went to school and seemed to be dragging my feet.

"I'm telling you Theo, today is going to be amazing! It's not only the full moon but we're also celebrating your birthday!" Catrina was more excited for my party and the run than I was. We were heading for our lockers to our first period together.

"I honestly don't see the big deal, to be completely frank. I haven't been feeling to hot today anyways," to prove my point I stopped to take a breather and lean on a locker to my right, "I might sit tonight out and possibly even go home early."

Catrina took a deep breath and I knew she was going to come up with some stupid excuse as to why I should be more happy, so I held up my hand. She closed her mouth immediately with a hurt look on her face. Instead of apologizing, I walked in the direction to first period, leaving her there to stare after me.
