Back to Mel's POV (just in case anyone get's confused... sorry these few chapters are a bit messy.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been around a week now. Since the day. Will and I have been a little more quiet than usual, not that either of us will admit it. When I'd woken up the next morning I'd pretty much slapped myself and told myself that I needed to move on. Will didn't deserve this. It's just Mike for crying out loud. But normal isn't quite what it used to be at the moment.
There have been absolutely no sightings of Mike whatsoever which kind of adds to my paranoia that he's somewhere closeby. A part of me is still desperate to see him, but the rest of me is so glad I haven't spotted him yet. I'm terrified of how I'll react.
Will's taking me out for dinner tonight at this cute little diner that we went to when we first started dating. It's all 50's style decor and American size servings of food, similar to "Billy Bomber's" if anyone's ever been. We love it there, the chocolate malt thickshakes are to die for! So naturally, in a time of distress, he's bringing us back to the good old days because he knows it's one of my favourite places to eat.
Unfortunately, it's still only 3 in the afternoon and Will is at work again. I have nothing to do and I'm bored as hell. Toying with my phone I consider calling my girlfriends and seeing if someone's free to catch up. But who? Minka? I haven't seen her in a while. Maybe Michelle? Or perhaps Fran? I sigh, oh it's useless sitting here doing nothing. I might as well try.
Flicking my phone on I scroll to Minka's number, I'm halfway to pressing the 'call' button when I remember that she's out of town with her latest boyfriend.
"Damn." I whisper under my breath.
Fine, I'll call Michelle I decide. She picks up on the third ring.
"Hey hun?"
"Hey Mel, how are you?"
"Bored, do you want to go out?"
"Uh..."
Sensing her hesitation I try again.
"We don't have to go out? i mean, we could just meet up? If you want I'd love to just come over and have tea or something? I'll bring cookies and everything. Please?"
"Uhh... I'll have to check hun."
"Yeah, sure."
She's away from the phone for a few minutes before she comes back and tells me that as sorry as she is, she just can't do today.
"I'm so sorry." She mumbles into the phone.
"No, no. Don't worry, it's all very last minute any way."
"Have you tried Minka?"
"She's out of town remember?"
"Shoot, yeah. Fran?"
"I suppose I'll call her now." I smile into the phone. It's just so good to hear a friend, it feels like I haven't seen anyone in so long.
"You alright? Heard anything from anyone?"
"Anything like? Do you have gossip? Oh please spill, it's so unbelievably boring in the house at the moment. I wish Tess would hurry up with her honeymoon already." I laugh at the end.
"I'm sure you don't mean that! And no, I mean, if you haven't heard anything then no, there's nothing new."
"Ugh, how dull! Since when has this town been so quiet? It's like something is just about to happen! You know the calm before the storm and all that rubbish. But I can't help but feel like something terrible or just something will happen. Ugh it's such a horrid feeling."
