Rosie's POV

I lifted my shirt above my head not minding Archie in the room.

"Is that a tattoo!?" I heard him yell.

I froze and slowly turned around.

"No!" I said a little too quickly.

He raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?"

"Yes." I hesitated. "It's fake."

"So you just found a fake tattoo of a silver tiger that looked like it was done professionally?"

"Yes." I hesitated again.

He looked at me like it was insane. "It's a freaking tattoo Ace!"

"No, it's not." I denied.

"Well, it's obviously not Sharpie. So what is it?"

"Uh, I-it's a-a." I stuttered. "Fine, it's a tattoo!"

He shook his head and all of a sudden he looked angry. Cute nerdy playful Archie was gone. "No."

"No?" I asked.

"That's not just any tattoo."

"What?"

"It's a gang tattoo, Ace. Admit it." He got all up in my face.

"Get out of my face."

"Not until you admit it."

"Admit what?"

"Don't play dumb." He glared.

I didn't make eye contact. I couldn't tell him.

"I can't tell you." I forced out.

"Of course you can't. Because my one best friend is in a gang!" He yelled before storming out of my room.

I quickly put my shirt back on and ran after him.

"Archie!"

I hear the front door slam shut.

"Archie!"

I opened the front door and ran after him in the driveway.

"Archie!"

He turned around and glared at me. "What!? What do you want Ace!?"

I can't believe I'm about to do this.

But you have too.

But that could put him in danger.

You can't lose him as a friend.

"Rosalinda." I corrected him in a small voice.

"What?" He asked slightly shocked.

"Came inside and I will explain everything to you." I looked him in the eye.

He looked hesitant but nodded.

We walked back inside the house.

"Ace what happened!?" David yelled from the living room.

"Nothing! I just need to get my helmet. I thought it was going to rain." I yelled back.

"OK." He yelled back.

I and Archie went back to my room. I closed the door but left it open just a crack.

He stood in the middle of the room. I just stood there awkwardly.

He waited patiently until his patience ran out.

"Well?" He urged on.

I tried opening my mouth to speak but nothing came out.

"Come on, Ace." He was very impatient.
