Rosie's POV
Me and Johnathan got into his car and began driving to my house.
We have to drive slow otherwise we'd look suspicious.
"Rosie, there's a cop try and hide your face." Jonathan spoke.
There was a cop car to our right.
I turned my head towards Jonathan to make it look like I was talking to him.
He made a turn away from the cop.
"Ok, he's out of sight, Rosie." He assured.
I turned my attention back to the road in front of us.
I don't know why but the sound of him using my real name gave me butterflies.
It was an odd feeling and one thing is for certain I didn't like that feeling.
I guess I've always felt it when he was around.
I didn't like it but I couldn't help it.
It's not like I like him or anything but it just makes me feel so weird.
"Ok, we're here." He interrupted my train of thought.
I looked up and saw that the security system was still up and running.
The cameras were moving and all the windows were sealed with bulletproof titanium along with the doors.
Super expesive but worth it.
"It doesn't look like anyone tried to get in." Jonathan pointed out.
"That's a good sign," I said as I got out of his car. "Stay here."
"No way." He got out of the car. "As soon as we find out that your family is ok then you've got explaining to do about that stone."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine."
I went up to the door and lifted up the cover to the keypad next to the heavily armored door.
I made sure I blocked Jonathan view from the keypad.
I don't trust him just yet.
I entered the code and the door disarmed.
I opened the door slowly and entered my house.
Jonathan entered after me and closed the door.
The house was quiet and the only sound was the sound of the door armoring up again.
"Only step where I step," I told Jonathan. "I may have entered the code the traps are still active."
"Why?" He asked.
"The only way to turn it completely off is if I get to the main computer in the office upstairs and enter a different code." I explained.
"You really went all out."
I shrugged. "I had too. Now only step where I step."
He nodded as I began walking.
I watched my step carefully to the staircase.
I heard the sound of a tile moving.
I quickly turned around and saw that Jonathan had stepped on one of the traps.
The picture frames on the wall began shooting arrows.
Jonathan dodged all of them except one was heading towards his face.
Luckily I caught it in mid-air just an inch away from his face.
"I told you to be careful!" I sneered as I dropped the arrow.
